Honami just keeps sounding like a dream phone, just hope it doesnt end up with a nightmare issue. Would love to day one it like PS4 but I'd be worry about being a early adopter Is price still rumored to be around Z's ? Nothing too crazy
I wouldnt mind either if it doesnt have an Arc curve but it could help with the overall thickness I guess? |

According to the assumption , Honami will have Arc design instead of XZ design??
Can we expect Curved Glass at the back for this One Sony now?

Perhaps it won't because it will be very fragile if they use the arc shape glass design IMO |

How would an arc design even work with the phone having such a sensor!? I can't help but only imagine the back of the device being something like the Satio or the PureView 808 and the front like the Z etc... I would like the device to be able to sit nicely on its back when placed on a flat surface though...

I was just guessing. Cuz that's the only logical way it can be 8-13mm thick

They change the material to Metal + Sapphire Glass =>>> Problem solved )
If that come true, the i1 would be a killer
Am I dreaming too much?

Or.........
It could mean some are talking about Honami and some are talking about other S800 phone.
That might be 8mm thin with 1/3" Z sized Exmor RS 13 or 16mp. In other words a Z refresh with S800

I wish my skills at 3d modeling were good, I just had a vision of the design... A combination of the Z's front and sides, and the Satio's back, with a few modifications... It looks stunning! |

The Satio was a stunning thing, SE made the whole large camera unit work well with the design. I expect the Sony cyber shot phone to have a protruding rear like either the Satio or C905 had.

I don't get it, why are people too hyped about OIS in smartphones? the focal length of a smartphone cameras is too short for the effect of OIS to be sensible. unless those lenses are zoom capable and can go up to 100mm(in 35mm equivalent) I can only look at those as gimmicks.
@Tsepz
C905 camera does not protrude in the back :3

When you pulled out C905, I immediately recalled.... Satio...
Great dimensions 112x55mm(except thickness), great weight - 126g, absolutely top notch camera and pictures, xenon flash, fantastic design,...
The phone was available in 2009, had a 1000mAH battery and could handle most of everyday tasks with absolute easy and functionality, adding unmatched imaging and music playing capabilities and 2 days (if not more) endurance.
Something must have gone terribly wrong when with regards in mobile devices developemnt as here we are in 2013 and praising for a phone with that size, weight, picture quality and appropriately better performance and battery life.
I said appropriately because all the current flagships have brute power to excel in benchmarks, but with no real life usage. The software (yes, Android!) is a bunch of buggy, power hungry crap, that needs Ghz of power and Gb of RAM to work.
That is what you call "development"?
To me all the processing power race is a non-sense. I own Xperia P and there is no real life task (again real life, not games) its dual core 1.Ghz processor wouldn't handle.
Android as a cell phone software is in fact worst then the old Smybian... It doesnt even come close to its power efficiency. Even iOS and WP8 are better at that...
Recently I have pulled out the old N95 from my drawer, turned it on and bang, all my daily task i could handle like nothing. With superior picture taking capabilities (lens), 3G, email, navigation...... on a 5 years old phone with a keyboard...
So where are we really moving these phablet sized, power hungry, crappy picture taking, quickly dying "flagships" of today? |
