Just comparing my new pictures with some old ones, and I can see that the file sizes of the pictures taken after the firmware upgrade are considerably smaller than those taken before. Is this the same for everyone?

Mine seem pretty normal, i got that bit of noise before.
My videos are however noticably worse quality.

perhaps they wanted to optimize video speed and downgraded decoding quality.
Until a "final" firmware (= stable, excelent speed, optimal battery, etc) we still have to wait 2-3 months.

If you look at the water in one of the pics (at the 1632x1224 res) just below the reflection, you will see these stripes. That's more than noise. More pronounced on the right hand side of the picture. |
