My phone post blank post when i post long messages so to cut it short did anyone see the DS in the news then they over shadowed it with info on the PSP

Not trying to open another can me worms, but trust me...the dif between xbox and ps2 games is instantly noticeable to an xbox user, splinter cell2, and burnout 2 in particular are easy to pick out. The jaggies almost poke your eyes out on the ps2 ones.

The DS graphics look closer to the PSP than with the two RR games but still the PSP looks better. Also the proof of how smoothly it runs remains to be seen as the PSP can move more polygons I think

Told you it was closer, but it's only graphics. No idea what the polygon counts are(don't case either), but the ds runs at 60 frames per second, always. As it is, i'm only interested in one game on each system, ridge racers and wario ware. None have a spectacular launch line up. The ds will come into it's own when they start releasing rts games. And mario kart ds with 8 player wifi is not to be sniffed at. I believe that will be the highest rated handheld game this year when it comes out.

Closer but still a big difference, in particular look at the road surfaces! DS is a huge pixelated mess.
Anyway the gameplay is even more important so it'll be interesting to see how they compare on that.

Yeah but that's a static image, and the ds version still has 2 months before it's released, psp one is out in a few days. The estimated price of uk psp games is 40-45 quid! DS are 20-30, but since those cartridges can go up to 1 gig, i can easily see another snes situation where advanced titles on big carts cost 50 quid. That's just my guess though, 20- 30 is a promised price.

Bit pointless to hide behind another ID - slightly amusing nonetheless. Either way, he did kind of have a point. We've had the necessary debate. My reading of the thread header is that Mik posted a review comparing the two, but this is still for PSP users (and others) to discuss the PSP.
There is another thread perfect for a "my dick's bigger than yours" argument, so is it such a silly suggestion to continue your diatribe there?
Anyway, back on topic, when do I get Pro Evo for the PSP, lads? Any ideas?!
