Good News for C905ers: new firmware for mid february. |

The only problem i had R1EA033 is that i could not connect to bbc iplayer as the error message i got was media server failed to connect on wifi so i hope that gets sorted,

Hi guys. Long time lurker first time poster...
Thanks to insights on this forum, I took the plunge and dived in the world of debranding, changing the original Orange UK C905 to a firmware (can't remember the actual CDA but it was listed as Carphone Warehouse or something) that includes the BBC iPlayer in "Media" and the You Tube app amongst other things.
Everything works fine, however I have noticed something missing. I used to have a Web Feeds option in "Media" but this has now disappeared. I checked the SEUS and the current software is the most up to date.
Is there anyway I can get this feature back? Does anyone know of the firmware that would have all the new functions mentioned above plus web feeds? Or is there a work around to access this
The current software I have is:
1205-9079 R1FA035

This firm is not so good as the last one 3g cover not good its slower but bluetooth is better and it a bit slower but what a hell its htc next or nword okia hell |

Seems strange as Therockster2 above R1FA035 i dont have bbc iplayer in media but i do have web feeds still, and i have same firmware 1205-9079 R1FA035

Yes, confirmed. It's still 2.8. And I don't see any "Facebook" application that other users are saying there is.

I also have R1FA035 with the same CDA as above and I have the web feeds in media. I don't have BBC iplayer,facebook apps but have ended up with CPW navigator (a carphone warehouse application) in the applications menu which wasn't there before. Wayfinder is also still v7 instead of v8.

Internet connection is slower and sometimes disconnects the earlier firm was more stabile but then again se has deliverd the last firm to c905 and now we have to bay a new one because the cant get there firms well they sucks |

Visible improvements:
- Media player are faster to read files
- Fixed the bug with album cover on playlist presentation
- Fixed video dyssynchrony when auto-rotate are enabled
- Video recording a bit better(900kbps,audio lifbaad 32000hz stereo)
- Wi-fi signal stronger and fixed bug with favorites configuration
- Color rendition of camera(looks cleaner than before),speed for save the picture too
- Faster load of apps
- Audio quality improved,on earspeaker too(now a bit louder and clearer)
No bugs since the instalation.
Let's see after a week...

Just updated to R1FA035. It is now available on SEUS ANZ APAC.
Noticed Google maps is version 3 (with the "Latitude" feature), and I have Facebook now (Don't think it was on the previous version, but I may be mistaken)
What I find a bit annoying is that SE doesn't have a reliable service to inform you when updates are released. When I check for a new update through my phone it usually says "You have the latest firmware", yet I get on SEUS and I find that I don't have the latest! Why can't they get their act together and give a proper indication of what the latest software is, and an up to date reminder when it's released?
