I've just checked with SEUS and Sony Ericsson, and firmware version R1EC001 seems to be the latest (which was already installed on mine). I am still getting a clicking sound when changing volume on walkman when playing on loadspeaker. anyone else get this?  |

I have version R1EA033 just had a listen and there is a slight clicking but I never noticed it or should I say notice it.
What is strange though is that SEUS is telling me I have the latest firmware?? but its not so how can I get SEUS to D/L the latest onto my phone?

yeah I am on orange uk. are you too? i think mine is specific orange firmware. when i called sony  hq they said they couldnt confirm the latest version number of the firmware as it is generic firmware they flash with. they said because orange would out their own on, they can't tell me the number of the generic one lol.

Ah I suspected as much. No mine is sim free generic and looking at the davinci team site its it the latest generic one.
I had my hopes up there for a second I thought maybe there was a fix for the lag in the walkman especially when listening to it on Bt head sets. |

latest tmobile firmware is R1EB003
latest orange firmware is R1EC001
The lag of the phone when using the walkman (specially with bluetooth) is a problem known on all current A200 platform (W910/K850/W890 ...) |

Jesus - its like 50 euros (£40) to debrand on davinci!!! is there no where else that will do this sort of service cheaper??

hmm, i was really hoping that with a firmware upgrade it would sort this prblem, so if i upgraded to your firmware muffins,, it wont improve? also, want to remove that annoying beep when recording a convo. |

I think the beep is for privacy reasons so the person knows the conversation is being recorded.
I just wish SE would hurry up and release a fix for the lag already. |

hmmm, yeah I thought it would be. Though on my w810i the beeping was not there when recording? da vinci say they will remove the shutter sound when in silent mood for camera... |

Unfortunatly it's been more than six month the bluetooth lag issue is present. And they heven't been able to fix it. They improved the media menu speed, but that's not enough. So I don't think a firmware upgrade is gonna solve it anytime soon.
There is a rumor about a new palteform "A300" solving the problems of the not so old A200, offering a new interface wifi and bluetooth 2.1 support.
There should be some press conferences and annoucements this month ... let's wait ...
Maybe the R3A firmware (scheduled for this summer will fix the lag) but do not hope too much. |

So how about 'newer' a200 platform in w-series like w760, w980, etc? Are there any improvement in this lag issues..? |
