exsiting phone which can compare with K700
Sharp GX-32
1 megapixel CCD camera, MMS, Java MIDP2.0, IrDa, SD/MMD memory stick 40 Polyphonic tone, MP3.
by looking at this phone spec u can only complain about the Bluetooth is missing but too bad that i couldn't got any chance try it out.
it's impressive that the price only stays around RM2,200
next in coming phone with S700 spec
Siemens S65
1.3 megapixel camera, MMS, Java MIDP2.0 IrDa, RS-MMC memory stick, 40 polyphonic tone, mp3, Bluetooth, MPEG-4 support.
Motorola A1000(3g), E1000, MPx100, V80, E680
1.2 megapixel camera, MMS, Java MIDP2.0 IrDa, SD/MMC memory stick, 40 polyphonic tone, mp3, Bluetooth, MPEG-4 support.
for the V80 is an upgrade version of V70 and it open like S700 as well. maybe others user might take this as an replacement for S700 if the price attractive.
Samsung P730, E800, D710, SGH-Z105(3g)
1.3 megapixel camera, MMS, Java MIDP2.0 IrDa, SD/MMC memory stick, 64 polyphonic tone, mp3, , MPEG-4 support.
LG T5100
1.3 megapixel camera, MMS, Java MIDP2.0 IrDa, SD/MMC memory stick, 40 polyphonic tone, mp3, MPEG-4 support.
Panasonic X700
0.3 megapixel camera, MMS, Java MIDP2.0 IrDa, Mini SD memory stick, 40 polyphonic tone, mp3, Bluetooth, MPEG-4 support.
among all the upcoming phone. most of them come along with 265k colour display.
there is somemore brand with some familiar function too but this is so far the best i recommend. ain't said that S700 is bad but others might wanna see what's the next alternative options for u.
thanx

@Alex:
What I'm saying is, don't shoot the K700 just yet. Use one then tell me if you don't like it.
@fu1at:
Sorry, not interested in other brand phone just now. The closes thing to a non-SE phone that I'm playing with is a Motorola A920 (upgraded with A925 firmware). But am doing so because I am testing SMan on it.

Good work Fulat ... After ur report, the S700 kinda seems insignificant I kinda like the Panasonic. But as Alex or was it Ajack said, the main selling point of is the UI, a.k.a the little things like a fully functional IRDA (Samsung! ), the tab system (K700 and older /// phones)
However, it(S700) is slightly thicker than my T300 ler. Too big for my liking la.
Me thinks that will surely release "t650" thingy this year, with the 1.3M cam, mem stick duo and the /// tab system of menus ... its just a matter of patience ... I'm holding on to my $$$ for dear life...
