@Kriomag - Can you make K750/W800 camera as fast as W810? Is this a camera driver issue or hardware? I hope it's not the latter part...
Driver is almost the same so it has to be hardware/firmware
You cant speed up k750 camera by modifing driver... sorry |

I have a Strong 5.6 camera driver, superb for outdoors, however, it is VERY VERY VERY slow. Taking upto like 5-6 seconds for low light and 3-4 seconds for an indoor shot.
Needless to say, that contributes to some pretty bad pics at times. Any suggesitons on which is the quickest cam driver I can use to get decent enough results? with minimum noise?
Thanks in advance to everyone whose helped us all with these drivers |

SPU 1.4 beta 1
New, very experimental driver =)
Changes since 1.3 beta 9 (if anyone remember this version):
1. A lot of changes in code =)
2. Normal mode - locked ISO 100 (or whatever on W810?) for high quality photo (auto shutter speed can be as low as 4 fps).
Night mode - ISO 800 priority for fast shot (auto shutter speed can be as low as 4 fps).
3. Added compression mode for MXE (50%).
4. Some changes in the supermode table (see manual).
One thing is not fixed: picture filtering will not be enabled for zoomed pictures if picture filtering is disabled in current mode.
Links (short manual included in the archive):

ZIP archive (with manual): http://nwamdclub.nktb-kristall.ru/camdriver_spu_1_4_b1.zip

i have put it on my phone... the viewscreen seems to be very slow as tho is taking a night mode shot... is that suppose to be that way? |

A Question:
Buffer size is limited for hardware or software (firmware)?
Buffer size: this is limited by the hardware in my opinion (Free space of the memory on the phone) W810i has bigger memory size than w800i/k750i (When you flash w810 firmware on w800i, you will see it, but I dont suggest you to try it bcz it is dangerous until you have backup for your GDFS), so it can use the free memory as buffer for any applications. In our case, it is the free memory for camera compiler.
ISO: Do you want ISO 80 for w800i? It is not a problem since it is firmware limit. Until yu can create a stable patch for the firmware, you will have ISO 80 for anyphone for sure.
I remember one guy here tried to put his w810i camera module on his w800i but he didn't get the same result as on w810i. The best iso he got was only ISO100 and he cannot get buffer higher than 600kb.
Hope you can understand me. Sorry for my bad English
btw, Have a nice day everyone.

i love my W810i - its improved in every way
so many changes i cant count them... few i can remember at this moment:
- Java support video playback! yes - i can play mp4 video in MiniCommander
- Better work with directories/files
- Better screen
- better keyboard
- better menu (flsh menu! )
- much faster camera
- pendrive mode (no drivers needed)
- faster image viewer
...faster/better/etc.
only one thing is worse than K750i - backpanel (yes its beatiful but no camera cover...) - i put my finger on lens every single time i take phone in my hand and then pictures are blurry... i must get original K750i backpanel very soon. |

In lpachuong's camdriver, macro mode is really macro mode and your use is only for photos taked at 10~40cm of object.
This photo appear be taked with higher distance which macro range.
Sorry for my poor english.
