i dont really remember the model as i was a baby any when when if bought it. i was not interested in mobile phones at that age.

@ynohtna & boba - Thanks ! At least I can write SMS in the R380's touch-screen . . . still thinking if it's worth gettin' it considering it's - OLDNESS, will worry much about the battery too if ever 
@tranced - Maybe you can be freshened a little BIT (re:what fone your Dad used) . . . by looking at Esato's . . . fone - avatars  But they are NOT complete . . . no T10/T18 and the GH-series old Ericssons  . . .

vjn its worth, but check the batt before u go for it, it was a pain to get any in the past, now a days its more difficult

as far as I know you can't do such a check with EMMAII. Might have worked before in the online version, but in the offline version used today it's not possible.

@tranced - At my end, you can still SPOT some old Ericsson fones (2nd hand) and you can still BUY some old Ericsson batteries too (though not original) but works good too as they have a 6-months REPLACEMENT warranty (with no hesitation) on it . . . Kingcom brand (Taiwan made).

yes there are quite a few ericssons that are dificult to come by these days, i'd say youve got to persist, and keep your eye on ebay and other places like boot sales etc...

there was also some not that third party batts for gh and ga models, asaian ones, in green and yellow boxes, just cannot remember the brand...

ppl i cant find the phone in my own house. my dad said it was here, but i cant find it. i was looking for it this night but there's no clue i wont give up that easy. i'll look for it even down the ground.
i'll try to look some pics of it so you will tell of what model it is.

if im not mistaken the phone my dad had is this: GF788e
note: my dad gave that phone to my aunt(his sister) and i was trying to find my aunt but there was no luck, she wasnt at home 
i aint giving up!
