Having played with the Xperia Z in a store, I have to admit it's too big... I wish Sony made a phone like this:
http://www.gsmarena.com/oppo_u705t_ulike_2-pictures-5166.php
i.e. same size and similar design to Xperia S (the Oppo is even slimmer), but with 4.5-4.6 720p screen, +2000mah battery, and weight < 120g.
If Oppo can make such a phone, so should Sony!
What do you guys think?

There is a phone out there known as "xperia zl" with extremely small bezel, if u hve ever heard of it bfore. btw xperia z is in no way a big phone... maybe ur hands r smaller or u r not habitual to using devices wid big screens.
As for d xperia s maybe u r forgetting that it has got a transparent lightning bar which consumes a lot of space & d end result is a phone with extra width and length!!! |

Oh yes it is a big phone. Look, bigger phones are already callesd phablets. That says something. |

WhiteMagic™ technology, the light can also be filtered through the white sub pixel, to represent a true white. WhiteMagic™ technology will significantly increase display brightness compared to normal LCD and OLED screens. In this way, WhiteMagic technology can be used to double the brightness or to save up to 50% of the backlight power based on user’s preference and surrounding light. By making the display brighter, it also brings out details in images and video content. Sony’s Triluminos technology utilises quantum dots to enhance the RGB LED backlighting.
WhiteMagic + Triluminos + IGZO + X-Reality = Superb screen....btw no rumor use whitemagic...

You can't combine WhiteMagic and Triluminos technology. |

Why? Does the coating not work on the white subpixel? Are not all subpixels coated individually, with different formulas for each color, and, if so, can't all but the white subpixels be coated? |

I hope Sony are the first major manufacturer with a premium 4-4.3 inch phone this year. They would then have no competition and make the last few iPhone faithfuls switch over. 4.3 inch would be good with minimal bezel. Add a decent processor and maybe even waterproof it to see a lot of sales. |

I think 4.6 inch with slim bazel is super fine for me. The ZL Im currently using is a bit too big for single-hand handling. |

I don't see how it can't be combined. WhiteMagic uses a filter with RGBW sub pixels, while Triluminos tech uses QD with blue LED as backlight to produce a better white light. IGZO and WhiteMagic can't be combined, I think. |

As I said, there won't be any S600 phone from Sony.
UL too has APQ8064, unlike S600 as was being suggested |

Sony has a lot of S4 Pro stock, and for 2H they are moving to S800 for the high end. So no room for S600.
S800 -Togari, Honami, Ray 3, One Sony tablet, and a mystery phone below Honami. |

The Xperia UL looks a lot better to me than the Xperia A. The bottom bezel is similar to that of the ZL. I like how they moved the screen down because there is a lot of unused space below the screen on the Xperia A and Z. |
