O2 replacement handset received today
Week 20 phone with R1A044. Still at least the GPRS / MMS work
I'm going to wait until FW released then watch for comments here
Then I'll wait a while to let things settle down before updating R1A as I wish I had never bothered. At least the FW crash had a work around.

Hi i got my new phone yesterday and it's the R1A044 o2 Uk
And the only issue so far is that it freezes when i play the picture game and only when i try and take a picture to mix up. The screen goes white and can do nothing for 1/2 mins.
I've read a few pages here but havent come across this, has anyone else had this problem?
Also is this the latest Sw? |

Been playing around with R1L002 for a day now. I can't find any improvements or changes beyond a patch for the GPRS issue introduced in R1J (which didn't affect me anyway).
I'm still glad I used Da Vinci as I've now unbranded my handset and changed the CDA so it'll work with SEUS in future without rebranding.
However, I wouldn't recommend that anyone with R1A updates at all unless they have the standby-freeze bug. There are no real advantages in doing so and in fact, your video recording quality will suffer.
What I'm really hoping for is a much improved Bluetooth implementation in the next firmware - it's still a bit flaky with certain headsets and car kits.
In short, if you've got R1A and do not have the standby freeze, you're probably best not updating just yet. |

Yep - youve got my vote. R1A is not perfect but hey it is much better than R1J.
Leave it alone for a few months for things to settle down.
But here is the rub...why are O2 picking up the tab for the SEUS update which has mucked up the phone? - I mean my replacement handset has cost O2 as will the return postage for the R1J unit. Why oh why cannot SE see sense and allow us to flash back to R1A?

I experienced my first crash last night, with the firmware R1L, having had R1J and R1A previous to that. It was nothing major, just as I was exiting the media player the screen went white, then off for a couple of seconds, then white, then off for a couple of seconds, then white, then off for a couple of seconds and then settled on the main screen, displaying "Emerg. calls only" before picking up a signal again.
No problems since and gprs works again so no complaints really, but R1A was working just fine for me, but at least I have got rid of the O2 customisations.

I have R1J and experienced something similar, but my phone turned off finally by itself. I am still experiencing problems with the puzzle game. I may have to get R1L soon! |

Updated my f/w to R1J, but still not yet satisfied with media player volume. it's still low. everything else is fine. standby crash has gone. Gprs works fine.

after combatively speaking with se service representatives, the (barely plausible) claim they made to me is that there is actually hardware differences in the phones between markets - meaning (they claim) that even if you have the same firmware subtype (like EU_1_CL) for which there is a firmware update, you still might have a phone that's not suitable for the firmware.
on one hand, i feel that it seems unlikely that there'd be different hardware for a specific market (at least smaller regions like france v. switzerland, which was the example i was given by se), but on the other hand it would seem to be an explanation as to why some people flash with version X and see behaviour A and others do not see behaviour A.

Hi All
I'm getting really frustrated now so i thought maybe you guys can give me some advice.
Beginning of the month, I ordered the K750i on the O2 (UK) website, I called O2 2 weeks after to find out that they cancelled my order because they were sent back. After that I searched on the net and found this thread - which eased my mind, at least I knew the story. Anyway, I reordered it last weekend and I called O2 earlier this morning - they again cancelled my ordered because it won't be available 'til July 04 (which you all know). Now your advice - should I reorder again on the 4th of July or maybe wait 'til W800i is released here in the UK? August? I have been waiting all these weeks for the K750i that maybe I should just wait for the W800i? Another option is maybe to order K750i from, let's say, The Link and then update the firmware when a new one does get released? Ok, enough of my ranting... |

I'm having BT issues again, the BT connection will be lost whenever I'm in a conversation, and it'll only reconnect after the call has ended.
I've experienced this when the K750i is paired with either the HBH-200 or HBH-660.
And I'm on R1J firmware.
Anyone else having this problem?

I've experienced one or two bluetooth drops when restoring sms with FMA, it seemed to happen after a certain amont of time, almost like the connection was timing out.

still with the R1J and having the gprs problems with o2, hopefully the update becomes avaliable on SEUS soon. however, anyone got any idea how to access my mms - problem is, theyve partially come through on my phone, but the phone attempts to download the content and obviously its not going to be get far ...
-tried swapping the sim to an old t630, but of course the message content is on my k750i so its unable to download the content
-upgrading using da vinci will wipe my phone memory?
-cant import/export mms on fma?
-anyway to access them on o2's website?
so yeah, anyone got any ideas?
