Non of these are zoom lenses. A zoom is variable focal length, so far phones are all using fixed focal length. They're just long primes, probably telephoto design.

Yes, but since everybody calls them zoom. (Even a company that makes cameras and lenses)..
It is easier to say zoom.

Just because other people are misinformed doesn't mean you need to be too.

Thats why I was questioning about the periscope... What exactly isit? The answer / hint a bit vague. And how many times telephoto zoom? |

52mm is not telephoto.
But companies call them this way.
Even sony.
Sony does not call their 135mm as telephoto, but 200 or more.
Focal length depends on how module can be done.
Companies are using 5x the wide.
P40 Pro/Premium may be 10x the wide.
Periscope is a way to extend focal length without need to decrease too much the sensor size to keep module not big.
125mm with 1/2.6" would be huge doing traditional way. |

12 mp 1/1,5 inch sensor with 64mp is pretty good if these leaked specs are true...

this just takes the info from the japanese site posted a page or two ago that had the diagram of the cameras.
if true, it's a pretty good spec for cameras. i just hope they use their own sensors and G lens or zeiss lens. it's never been confirmed by Sony but xperia 1 uses samsung sensors and that's just a travesty considering they have so many of their own.
don't fail me sony!

I have no idea if this info was true.
Many months ago (before X5 rumors) I read somewhere (i think was reddit post) that the isocell was part of the display purchase. Like a condition to have the screen.
Zeiss does not have mobile lenses.
Just branded, like Leica name on Huawei.
They made the module for X1.
Everyone says the square is too small for periscope.
What could it be?

Haha I was thinking of the naming scheme for Sony mobiles currently, thinking will it be like xperia1mII, mIII, mIV etc. Looking at the way they name their cameras and wireless Bluetooth headsets ~ |

I don't buy 4400mah battery rumor but this makes sense.
unless they make some changes inside, it's impossible to have bigger battery with the almost same body size with x1, which is a MUST with SD865/5G |

I bet on X1 II too ...
" The biggest difference from the past model of this next Xperia is the fundamental redesign of the internal structure that can not be seen from the appearance. This frees up space inside, allowing for a headphone jack, a larger battery, and more sophisticated heat removal. Although the battery capacity will be over 4000mAh, it is not known whether the rumor of 4400mAh is true."
I hope it is graphite like XZP, instead of copper.
One Xperia with 4120 mAh was certified in Brazil months ago. Agency like FCC.
Sony does not sell in Brazil , but they do it in case people buy from internet , so they will be able to use the phone without issues.
Same was done in late 2018, with a 3000mAh device.
It matches 10+.
