@amirprog Yeah, I know that. I'm just hoping they solve that problem as soon as possible. With Chinese manufacturer releasing high spec phones at a lower price, it's kind of hard to ignore. Only issue most of these manufacturers have are they are not global, distribution and hardware wise. Aside from that, they're pretty appealing. |

I don't think that there will be any Xperia device with a "2" before 2H, also known as Xperia Z2 at IFA... So the Xperia Tablet Z successor will be called Xperia Tablet Z1 and it will debut at CES alongside the Xperia Z1 Mini*. The Xperia Z Ultra successor, Xperia Z1 Ultra, should also be revealed before 1H is over. The only one I see to step out of line is the Xperia Z1S (, Z2S, Z3S, ...), because the "real" flagships get refreshed every 6 months and while the others have a 1 year cycle. Everything IMO of course.

I wouldn't be so sure that Sony will persist with the Z/ZL strategy. So far:
D650X = Z1S, the 1H flagship
D550X = "Z1 Mini", is to the Z1 what the ZR was to the Z, also the spiritual successor to the SX and Ray
D530X = likely the SP replacement
D230X = likely the C replacement
IMO again...

US scenario will change from this year (2014). Can't get into any specifics though, perhaps spectre51 can.
Overall a very interesting and wide portfolio for 2014 compared to this year. Especially tablets.  |

@king-james: Not really. The only thing where the Z1 (and the normal Z) is staying behind competition is the screen (especially viewing angles).
When it comes to other things like camera, water and dust resistance, physical shutter button, design, look and feel then Sony is and will be at leadt on par with competition or even superior.
@Leaked model number:
I hope this indicates a smaller bezel than the Z1.

I don't know, I think SONY might actually improve in 2014. Especially the imaging department with the A7/R. Those two cameras are making rounds in the media and currently has "NO" competitor products. Even made hardcore Leica fanboys giddy up, now that's something. So yeah, not just the PS4 will save its behind.
Personally, I acquired the A7 and the 55mm ZEISS myself  . |

I think Sony signed a 1 year exclusive deal with t mobile in 2013, I am sure they learn from that horrible mistake because they did the same with Canada earlier and always being rogers exclusive and now xperia phones are available on all carrier and even sold unlock at Sony store. They still sign exclusive deal but only with specific colors. |
