I'm surprised I have not seen more knowledge posted yet about this to help you out. I can't say with certainty, but I do believe it's all one piece. Just the concept of the LCD screen that has to be "3 dimentional" in order to process touches on the screen. I don't know how it could be two pieces.
A new LCD display screen is a small investment, considering the cost of the phone (assuming you paid an average price for it.)
I would say go for the new LCD screen. I would.
I didn't see any on ebay just now, but I'm sure they are out there.
I've had my g900 for about a week, and it's been great.
The only hitch so far is that it locked up when I made the initial connection to my secure LAN. Had to restart with the power button. Everything's been great since.
I like this phone a lot.

i jus opened the phone and fixed my loudspeaker 
its kwite packed in ther :| hardly ne spce 2 mve round. screws are nicely hidden |

I would like to share some workarounds that i found to solve two little problems.

I have a question, when you get a firmware update on G900 "unlocked' phone, when the update is complete, is the phone locked again

Streaming youtube still doesnt work, even with your suggestion, I end up loading and buffering for like 2 minutes. Then when I press "Play" my phone locks up.
Same still happens with the alternative version of vTap. Halfway, or when the movie is finished OR when I press the touchscreen during the play of the movie, the phone locks up.
In both cases I need to reboot my phone.
edit: and, what programs can be used to sync your calendar with other than outlook?

if the phone was officially/legally unlocked, then it wont get locked after firmware update, but if the phone was hacked n unlocked, then i dont know.

Because streaming videos off m.youtube.com doesnt work for everyone theres several applications which let you run youtube in a different way.
One of them, and the only one working on the G900 afaik, is vTap. You can download it off m.vtap.com . |

Just got off the phone to O2 in the UK and they have confirmed a release date of the 9th August for the G900.
I have a question of those that have bought a sim free phone in the UK. Has anyone used it on the O2 network and tried to send and or recieve a picture message using the G900? What resolution of picture were you able to send/recieve?
The reason I ask is that I had problems on the O2 network before when using a non-suppported phone. The pictures were still sent and recieved but resized from 480x640 to 60x80. This was due to the O2 network not recoginzing the phone in question, although O2 denied this. It was the Samsung D880 dual sim phone which is not officially available here. It worked fine on other networks. |

when streaming YT videos, do the little lines around the WiFi logo at the top of the screen turn red at all? Mine do and it indicates the WiFi is being used. Also is the WiFi set as the 1st radio to try when browsing? You change this by going - main menu - settings - connectivity - internet accounts - groups - highlight internet - edit - check your wireless network is set as number 1 in the connection priority.
I haven' a clue apart from that as mine works flawlessly? I have to still say the G900 is the best phone I've ever had, the D pad makes using UIQ an utter joy along with the touch screen. |
