same here.
I do have one bug, and I'm not quite sure what sets it off - the activity menu stops working until I reset the phone. Also sometomes I get a 4-5 second delay exiting a screen (for example exiting out of a message I've viewed through activity menu)
It's only happened 2 or 3 times (on each bug) so far, so it's not concerning me, but I'd like to know what's causing it.
But other than not not a single problem. Menu is fast and smooth, even with audio playing.

Sorry I haven't been following this thread very closely, but has anyone upgraded their Vodafone W910i past R1EA030 yet?
I'm currently on this firmware and it's a hell of a lot worse for me than my phone's original R1DA038 which was near perfect apart from horribly bad frame rates in games.

Isn't R1FA035 the latest? This is the version I am on. My phone came with RCA029.

Is yours Vodafone branded? I just want to know if anyone has got any further than R1EA030 on a Vodafone W910i. Its hard for me to get to a Windows computer to update, so I want to know if its worth trying before I do.

You davinci'd it and stayed with the Vodafone branding?
Alright I'll try and update it as soon as I can. Hopefully I can improve my W910i before I sell it on.

I tried to debrand but it failed on the fs. I got rid of all the disgusting vodafone icons and graphics, but it didn't get rid of the undeletable predefined content or the "vodafone live" right softkey.

for ota, I don't know. Probably not.
For SEUS PC based updates, you will get the latest firmware that has been approved by the operator your handset is branded by - so you may not get the latest depending on your branding. If you are unbranded you will get the latest available firmware

thanks max. has any1 tried updating from their phone? wats the procedure must i do wat u do on a pc, go to s.e website or is there a different way to update when using your phone. also 1 more thing guys, i haven't actually bought it yet, so when i'm buying the w910i wat wil let me knw that it's a good handset the serial number?? i read from wiki that the last two numbrs on the imei means wat software the fone has, the higher the number the more likely it is to be bug free, coz ther are ppl who hav bug free w910i's other wise i can't explain how it ended up being voted best handset. so get the w910i or w890i ? i'm leading towards the w910i, if u guys were in my shoes which 1 would u choose? |

Mine is bugless apart from one little issue - when I've been using the media player for more than 20 mins or so it seems to kill the activity menu. I have to restart the phone to get the activity menu back.
Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?

maybe dis may help to those hu get frequent restarts.i duno if it works for u but it does worked for me after i tried it out.switch off your phone daily whn you're not using it.(eg : going to sleep)reason is because it wipes out the current phone usage memory so that it leads to less crashes. |

I got fed up with the fact that virgin mobile were never going to release new firmware back to sony ericsson so i went to davinci team and re-flashed mine and now i am happy with my w910
