finally off the phone! 56 mins!
basically they said i had to pack it up and send it to them,and they will repair / replace it,but it can take 6 weeks!! ffs!!

anyone know if they usually repair or replace consoles with the three red light problem?

Well my mates only the otehr week got the 3 red light problem, all he did was took it back to where he got it from (gamestation) with the receipt and they just replaced the console there and then......

mines 2 years old, and i got it from woolies, dont think theyll take it back. they seem to be right barstools with returns.

All he got was a new console thats it, they took a new one out of a box and gave it to him, no HD, no cables, no controller nothing just teh console.....

got the red light thing here a while back, had to send it back to microsoft. quick service though but, did come back with a funny power button, hard to push in.

Funny that was the other way round for me, the original one I had was really hard to push in the replacement was virtually touch sensitive.
