Dunno, though I'm not really bothered... Sony Ericsson don't have to be quick about a patch, just make a really cool one with no additional bugs. Simply because the K800 seems rather flawless at the moment, unlike the K750 there isn't much to improve on.

Lol, anyway the green/purple line is only when recording... it doesn't show when you play the recorded video after so its not much of a problem.
Fortunately its not an official update from SE, so thats ok.

I think I 'may' have found a new feature:
During a call you can bring up the menu and select an option (which I don't think was there before) called 'Transfer Sound', when selected you can then transfer the call to a Bluetooth device I think.
Was this option in the earlier firmware?

PicBridge support was already there. Not new.

SE stated that they are working with Acura to fix the bluetooth incompatibility in acura cars. It worked 2 firmwares or so ago for most SE phones but they broke it. Does this firmware work better with acuras I wonder? |

I like it too, with date (and optional alarm) on overlaying the large clock.
A lot of people seem to be uncertain about what Wotanserver and DaVinciteam are, and their relation with SE and SEUS. I am no expert but I think I can clarify a few things so that those who wonder will not need to write yet another post asking if Wotan == SEUS and when the FW will be available on SEUS.
I may be wrong, so please correct me if I write something here that is not true. This is what I think is correct.
- Nobody here can tell you when the new firmware will be available on Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS), whether you try to update using your computer or the built in update service in the phone (disabled by branding in some phones).
- Wotanserver and Davinciteam get the firmware files from Sony Ericsson, probably claiming to be, or actually being, service centers, and they probably have to pay for access to these files (which I guess is one reason for them to charge us for getting the update through them). I do not think that the firmware available through WS and DVT are hacked or altered, but the program used for installing the firmware can sometimes change some settings for those who want that.
- The major reason for paying money to WS or DVT to get new firmware is actually to unbrand the phone, get rid of operator branding, operator specific icons and shortcuts, disabled menus and options, etc. One other reason that is obvoius to many now is that they can give you the newest FW before it is available through SEUS.
- Upgrading the FW using WS or DVT will not unlock the phone, if it is locked to one operator, it will still be after upgrading the FW. You can also choose to install other localization, in order to get other languages in the phone, for menus and texting.
- Changing firmware through WS/DVT may or may not void your warranty, I am not fully certain. If you do not know what you are doing, or if you do not follow instructions closely, you may end up with an unusable phone, and then you will have to pay a local SE service center to (try) to fix it. If you use the official SEUS you should have no problem with warranty, and if you "brick" your phone using the official tools, I am sure SE will fix it for you for free.
So, please no more posts asking when the FW will be available on SEUS. Nobody knows, and when it is avaliable you will surely see it here first. Just keep an eye on this thread.

Very well spoken and I totally agree with you, furthermore I'd like to fill in that warranty of a branded phone gets void when you debrand it through WS or DVT,since SEUS does not provide such capability because that would go against the trade agreements with several operators, after all they manufacture the branded editions too.
