Airtel is offering 15 days Airtel Online FREE Trial(I got an sms). So this will be useful to Single Channel GPRS handset users for 15 days. |

@coolbuddy.
It should work on 6680. You must be able to connect if u use method 1.
@ Alan
Thats gr8. Good for u Alan.
By the way does anybody know of any trick to get the built in mobile email client to work without a Mobile Office subscription. That would be really gr8 and we could cut down the MMS costs. Or is there any trick for free mms??!!! |

@rahul
in Kerala there's no free gprs OFFER frm Airtel my frnd. U can only use the method spartan had mentioned 2 access gprs 4 free...
if u aren't intendin 4 a connectivity usin ur PC, ie: u hav access only 2 a gprs enabled handset then it'd b a lil difficult 2 access any site u lik, by jus usin Live settins, in ur fon. U'd hav 2 connect nd disconnect many times until u get a free port open... if u get one then u cud browse through any webpage, les ur fon browser permits!
I'v found it 2 be easy 2 get connected early mornings... |

Access point is airtelwap.com All other settings are same as ALIVE. They have activated the 15 days free trial yesterday. So now I'm enjoying GPRS without any tricks. |

If airtelmms.com works perfectly, then there is no need to use any trick. Just configure proxy settings in ur browser and start using the free GPRS. IP is 100.1.200.99 and port is 8080. First try these settings in Opera or Firefox and then in IE. For more info, browse all pages of this thread. I have explained with screenshots. |

Yes. Both are same. But email clients doesn't work as the POP3 & FTP are blocked. For that, you have to use Mobile Office. |

No need to use any commands. Just create a normal dial-up connection and dial *99***1#. Don't forget to put airtelmms.com under Menu->Tools->Settings->Connection->Packet Data->Access Point.
By the way, I'm also using 6630. |
