@Brym: Congrats o. I pressume this is No.1? Hope madam and baby are doing fine.

@Angel: If you want to receive sms notification of account activity, you have to sign up for it. Ask your account officer. But note that some banks charge you for this service.
Let go and let God

I made my fiancee open a UBA account... what was I thinking? She reminded me of the fact when I was telling her to open a new account with Oceanic. Oh UBA!
To enter the bank u have to queue (only two of those funny doors that speak funny accent "Go back and remove the metal object....Thank you for your cooperation!")
To use the ATM, there is another queue.
To check ur account balance... queue
To put in money in her account... queue.

@Uchrik... U may have a point. Angelgirl, run! I did 4 years ago.

@all: Four weeks after the launch of 3G by MTN and Glo, any user experience? or is this another case of "the more you look..."

And if you think we are backwards in mobile data, read what this European thinks of mobility in the 'mighty' USA .
Excerpt...
"Mobile handsets aren’t fashionable in America. They are tools. They’re nothing better than a slightly enhanced walkie talkie (in fact, many of the handsets on sale actually are glorified walkie talkies). They’re stored on the hip in Wild West gunslinger holsters. They’re consulted only for the purposes of utility. They are simply a utility. The Brits, the Italians.. (list continues) have a relationship with their handsets. It’s through their handsets that they deliver, manage and live their lives. Take away the mobile phone from an American and he or she will be mildly inconvenienced. Do the same to a European (for example) and they will rip your fingers, arms, legs and eyelids off until you give it back."

You are right brym, the mobile industry here in Europe is far more advanced than it is in the US. Virtually everything revolves round the mobile phone - Banking, business, sports, shopping,tv,movies, music, dating, etc.
The US has a lot of catching to do.

PNF POLL: HOW WOULD YOU FEEL TO BE WITHOUT YOUR PHONE(S) FOR ONE YEAR?

Coola's response: No problemo except for the hitches that will occur as I plan for my wedding, (my fiancee will be upset.) The loss will not affect my life THAT much.

@Coola: that would be rather unthinkable for me, as I have built most of world around my phone.
Communication
Messaging
Day planning
Reminders
The list goes on.

I see the lack of free internet has taken its toll on the number of posts here. Sorry guys Celtel has wised up and sorted out its billing system. I'm back on full internet, but its no longer free.
Have a swell day all.
