Here is my little collection of phones as requested by boba, I have purchased these phones second hand as i really admire them and hope one day to improve on this collection as and when money permits!
unfotunately the T28 doesn't switch on i have tried a different battery to no avail so i would be open to suggestions on a fix for this.
I purchased the T20 for its charming looks and have used it many times and really enjoy doing so!
The r380 i purchased to see where everything began for the P series phones and i am more than impressed with its capabilities, it show's the good technology brought to SONY!
Dont get me wrong though i was a SONY boy before , and i am now only begining to appreciate just how good phones where, and i am a little sad i missed out! hence the reason for starting my little collection!

@nanu:
do you have a multimeter? Measure the resistance of the phone between the left and right pair of the battery contacts. A good T28 should have between 4 and 4.5 MOhm. If it's just a few kOhm, the PA is shorted and must be replaced. This job can be done by anyone with a hotair soldering station (it's a bga chip without legs).

fw bugs to fix as usually, just flash it with the last fw. actually its a good solution to flash those very year once, it wont hurt the fone and do increase battery life. how is the battery standby time?

I have already taken it to one phone repair shop but they didn't have a clue!
Is it something i could do from home? if so are there any threads you know of detailing such?

@nanu*1:
First thing is measuring the resistance since it is a common problem. In case there is no HW problem you can try to reflash the FW. All you need is a T28 flashkabel, ATR and the flash file. If you need detailled informations, just PM me.
The more probable reason will be a HW fault. There is usually only one reason, why a FW get damaged: Someone less experienced tried to flash or unlock the phone. The FW itself can't get damaged or bad just by time and usage.
So lets rule out at first the HW fault. If we did so we can talk about reflashing. I can help you either to get a cable and software or - depending on where you're coming from - you can send me the phone for flashing.
