Happy birthday south african thread:) to twenty more years, beyond the time we will be here i hope, but hope we all are here long:)
more on the k800. great menu speed, i do not like the picture browsing. they all look pixelated till the pics are properly loaded when you browse. did not check out the multitasking, but did check out the video editing. very responsive. i like that. it is fast!

@ brix, i use youtube often to watch videos, but rather upload videos if need be to myspace. do not need to be registered for just watching videos on youtube. also, bro, is it not expensive? i have been laying down on that as there are newly temporarily applied work limits to bandwidth usage. a ten minute video is about 24 megs. i usually using firefox plugins just download what i want. expensive.

Another fantastic day yesterday, albeit 'fresh', with clear blue skies abounding in November here...global warming?!
As it was such a clear day (and night), my friend Dale hauled out his telescope again and this time I had the Nokia 3230 with me:

One thing i hate about Sundays is that I've got to go to work...getting up is a bitch, especially when you've been hanging out with people who only start their working weeks on Mondays.
BTW, thanks to everyone who's been contributing to the thread over the past two years...it's more than just a thread about cellular and .

Many thanx, Afsaq, Whizz and Jojo. I'm certain that we'll all still be here for years to come, after which our kids will carry on with the job
Nice pix there, Wanqa. I love the garden shot in particular, and your quip about global warming really has me thinking. Last nite i was chatting on Mxit to my mate Dave, who lives in Norwich. We were having a laugh because he described the temperature as being so low that he has three down-filled comforters on his bed, and STILL feels the need to dress up like the Oros Man. I told him it's hard for me to conceive that kind of cold- the coldest i've experienced was -5°C just outside Bloemfontein one evening a few years ago.

@brix, i didn't end up going either. The guy who had asked me to go with him had decided i was scary because i mentioned 'if i die i die' one time on the phone. He had some serious sucking up to do last night, which included my (unlicensed self) taking him and his (powerful) car for a joyride. It was the most fun i've had in ages (him gripping his seatbelt). And no Kryptik i was not drunk leave my backseat bo0ze alone;)
@amawanqa, the enjoyment art theory depends largely on your teacher. Last year i had the most wonderful man and was passi0nately into my art theory and scoring in the upper 90s. This year, however, has been hell. I've had 2 Afrikaans women who have no deeper interest in the subject. I was switched off the whole year. ...what is your chosen occupation?

I've just surfaced from my deep beauty sleep..after another very late night.
Right, firstly... it's da brixsta's mom's birthday today as well, so..
@ brixster,
A big, big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mama Brix as well!! Hope she has an awesome day. Please send our best wishes to her.
@ psychonymphe,
Teacher.
@ asfaq, whiz and Jojo,
Thanks for your birthday wishes re the SA thread's 2nd birthday.
PS Jojo, I won't forget about those superbike pics; the first of the 2007 shows is from 1-4 February at east London's Excel Arena, the same place where they had the Smartphone Show last month.
@ Kryptik,
LOL, you may want to ask your Mxit connection if his house's central heating is working.
It does get cold, but I find it bearable most of the time if I dress warmly when going outside, and I am someone who does 'feel' the cold.
Interesting that you mention Bloem re coldest that you've experienced in SA, as I also recall being exposed to the coldest SA conditions there. I was at a motorbike rally at the Philip Saunders Holiday Resort, on the airport side of Bloem, back in '92. It was the first week in May. The tent I borrowed back then as a student didn't close properly, and after putting every conceivable spare piece of clothing on me to try and stay semi-warm in the early morning hours, I still nearly froze my proverbials off. I still took loadsa pics of the bikes and tents, which probably resembled spare props from the Snow Queen's estate in Narnia...

roflmao @ "proverbials"!! Ja nee swaer, the cold can really put the hair on a man's proverbials
@Brix, a happy birthday to your mom, boet.
@Psycho, which car was it that caused the dude's palms to go all sweaty?
Do any of these next few pix bring back memories to any of you? A few pieces from my little collection:
