@Moogoo
In most cases, I would have chosen the white version but now I went for black.

So is this the version that supports H.265?

so what's the difference in the C6903 and C6943 LTE banding ?

also the China model seems to come with the dock in the box

same bands the only is difference is that C6903 support High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) H.265 and C6943 doesn't
so it must be market related from what I can guess

No need to guess, There's a note in the Whitepaper that H.265 is not available in all markets... so if the C6943 doesn't support it then it will go for those markets...

I used to have about 2 years ago a top of the range Sony compact camera with G Lens. The video recording in AVCHD format @ 60fps with the steady shot produced the smoothest video I had ever seen, even zooming. When Sony get it right they really do get it right. Let's hope the future updates optimizing the BIONZ chip improves even more. And even with production images it seems to be beating some of the competition for comparisons. Good job Sony, at last. I'd have to get the white one if I had one. Less finger prints showing.

someone already did

main difference is C6903 supports h.265 while others don't. and C6906 supports band 17 LTE while others don't. that's about all you need to worry about

why is it that only C6903 support h 256 playback but not others? Some exclusive hardware in c6903?

My guess, either they lack one or more world wide license/patent at present time or there are small hardware differences (possibli due to different bands used) preventing the others to play H.265.

Is that H.265 encoder/decoder hardware or software implemented?

If it's software, then meh, it'll probably use a lot of CPU resources.

Quick question what is the Acer Liquid S2 using for encoding the 4K video? is it H.265 or H.264? I can't seem to find the info anywhere. Engadget claims "24fps and up to a 20Mbps bit rate" not but no codec.

On the C6903 the h.265 is only for decoding, not encoding, would this mean no 4k recording? Unless Sony opts for 4K using h.264 but someone posted the files would be rather large.

4k can wait for me, 1080@60fps would be much better option and I would imagine a future firmware update will add it, hopefully by october's end. Wonder if Apple will add 1080@60fps to the 5S today, rumour has it the phone will use a 13MP camera, which might be the 13MP exmor RS from Sony.
