it is evident now, that the handset is still in tweaking phase. lots of things need to be made onto SE UI skin above Android. look at the point where the guy accesses message scape, you sense a bit of stuttering, i think (actually i bet) this will definitely be resolved, and the speed will increase whenever the device gets launched.
i have a question though:
do you think there will be any possibility to shift to the original Donut UI? i mean, skip SE's customized UI?

Anyone else notice some UI changes in rog's example?
I like the fluidity of the UI now. It probably still has debug code running in the background, so there's still room for improvement. The final build should and would blow everyone off their feet, I hope!
...
I hope so, but this time I couldn't find any icon in the program launcher like in the previous videos - Dev Tools or Debug Menu...

Just came from rog's site for the x10 preview. I have to say that it's getting faster and faster and I also noticed that he did not complain about the display. My concern, however, is the theme...it's blue and quite boring..and it's all over the place, from media to phone functions. I want something more high contrast and darker (black or dark gray black ground with splashes of color..well, the entertainment unlimited wallpaper is quite well done). I'm hoping there would be theme options. last but not least, although it's probably just a minor issue that's been nagging at me, on the music section of mediascape when browsing, and aslo on the now playing windows, the album art is stretched. It's definitely not a good look IMO. The proportions should be kept when resizing pics and just crop the sides. It's probably still under development, seeing that concept video preview. |

This phone is getting more and more tempting.
Only thing putting me off is not being able to sync as well with os x.

It does look slightly grainy where blue goes to a brighter one but that might be up to the picture so no big deal. Even if it isn't Android 2.0 will fix that, with or without UX on top of it.

speed, more colors, multitouch and HD capabilities are now a software issue not hardware. So it's up to SE to make this device a successful smart-phone

another thing i am very concerned about is the fact that its a full touchscreen and doesnt have a keyboard and therefore how will it be for email/sms typing?
is the droid a better option if you are used to a keyboard phone like xperia x1?

You will have to wait and test it by yourself.. But a 4.0 INCHES screen helps a lot

When using it in landscape mode, it shouldn't be such a problem really. |

+1
I noticed this as well. Hopefully this would be fixed. It'd be nice if the phone could pull artist pics off the net automatically like the Zune HD does. |
