I spoke to a Vodafone representative yesterday and he confirmed that the W960i will ship December 9th (Sony Ericsson had informed Vodaone of this)- whether that includes all networks I do not know but at least we have a confirmed date now.
Can't wait for this phone!!
December 9th ??!! WTF?! This thing was announced ages ago!
Vodafone in the UK still dont sell the P1, so I will not be holding my breath for the W960! I have heard a rumour (repeat) rumour that they are not going to be taking either device due to the P990 debacle. and they can sell all the blackberrys they can get.
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |

if its like the w950, nope.
u need to use the scroll wheel or stylus to pick the desired word.
its simply not very usable with one hand.

Just a simple question;
when you are writing an sms, how do you change words when you get several choices? It's easy and quick to change word on my w810. You just press the arrow down.
Is it as easy to do this at the W960i?

And to go into that: How does that handwire recognition work? If I write something down, the system will recognize it en convert it into digital characters? And does this really work fluently?
The handwriting recognition in UIQ is a system called "jot" - it's not handwriting recognition in the truest sense (ie, it doesn't learn your handwriting or try and convert any old scrawl you use) but a system of standard strokes for each letter. Mostly these are just as you might handwrite them, but sometimes you'll have to teach yourself to write characters in a certain way, rather than expecting the phone to adapt to you. If you take a little time to practice it's actually a really good, accurate, fast system - but it does require a little effort on your part, at least at first.

I have PalmOS, Windows and Symbian device.
Symbian and Palm are equal and best handwriting system. |

That's probably because Palm license the Jot system too!

I think you saw W910 specs.
The W960 has BOTH a Double LED flash, and Auto Focus just like the P1
