@786KBR I would love to read the Quaraan; haven't had direct access to it as i have had to other wonderful texts. My personal favourite are those documented by Carlos Casteneda. Very worth reading. As are those by Franz Bardon.
@francois, for a minute there i was under the impression that you'd lost the plot. I'm glad you think for yourself. What greater gift can we give to the Divine than to find our own Way home...

@ psycho, lost the plot? plot? what plot? there is no plot until i decide that there should be something like plot in life...until then it is just a figment of my imagination=) lol! Okay, just me being silly.
Been a busy day, but good. Working on a presentation once again, and it is looking slick. And when I say so, I mean the marketers are bowing at my feet once again saying how brilliant it is, but I am too fussy to be happy with it, but it is looking nice. I always have a little bit of an abstract feel to the backgrounds for my material, and add the relevant company (as we have a holding company and few companies) logo in, and then it looks good. The graphic designer did an excellent job on the logos for the company.

Isn't it ironic that so many people who claim to be religious and devout still entertain the notion that a benevolent Creator would deny eternal life to those of differing religions? I find it hard to believe that the Creator would deny Gandhi or Mother Theresa access to eternity merely because they had differing views. Those are merely two well-known names; there are hundreds of thousands of other (unsung) saints...

I actually had a quaraan with me the weekend but didn't open it! Long story of why i had it. I'm off to club Mynt for a private birthday party later and will most certainly see some clients with a babalaas in the morning. Don't like them much...

For sheezy?? Well, how about giving him a traditional Xhosa greeting? Maybe you could ask him for his autograph too, and if it's an official function/dinner/lunch you could ask him to sign the programme. It would be a perfect Xmas gift for your favourite cuz's collection

En route to work this morning, amongst the rush hour crawl into London along the A13 motorway, a little humour brightens up the day when I notice the sticker on the rear right of the old Fiat Panda 1000 in front of us...
Nitrous Oxide in that?!

Religion, eish...this subject just doesn't gel with me.
Right now I'm listening to some nice mbaqanga music, Shwi- Nomthekhala
@da wanqsta: I'm looking at buying a car...never owned one (don't ask me why) but one thing is for sure, I'm not buying a Fiat Panda...I'll be mowed down on the highway by all the BEE fatcats in their BIG 4x4's.

@ brix, what you thinking of getting? New or second hand? And you are black, so it has to be smooth:) the toyota yaris is going for about 90k i think. Not too fond of that. Would prefer a run x if i would have to go toyota. You could get a more eastern flavour. They not as common criminal pick as for example a golf or such. Buying a car is such a big investment. It sucks:) but it is usually very needed in our country with sucky public transport.

@ da brixsta,
I know we've touched on this subject before, but the prices of cars in SA, both new and second hand, is nothing short of ridiculous. The fact that it's not even feasible to ship ultra-cheap used cars form here to SA, because of the restrictions and duties levied on these, is keeping the very 'protected' SA motor industry monopolisers happy.
My nephew returns to SA next month, having worked damn hard to pay his own way to study architecture in PE, over the 2 years that he has been here.
Now he is going to need a car too; and it seems the going price for something like a good used Toyota Tazz 1300 is around the R45000 mark; a definite chunk of his savings.
I just wish there was a way to get vehicles from here into SA without all the additional red tape complexities and costs, because it'd be such fun to give a royal 'up yours' to the overpriced local car market.
Here's 2 examples that I've just randomly copied and pasted from http://www.autotrader.co.uk :
1996 VOLKSWAGEN POLO 1.0 L 3dr Hatchback
Price:
£690ono.

Not bad for just under R10 000...

Another example:
1992 TOYOTA CAMRY 2.2 GL 4dr Auto Saloon
Price:
£599
Features: 68,000 miles MANUAL GREEN Petrol 4 Door Saloon Full Description:
Manual, 68,000 miles, Green. One previous owner. Full Service History. £599
_______________
Yes, we know the reasons why used cars are so much cheaper here, but it's just frustrating that, even with the current shipping rates, it would be a godsend for many people in SA if cars from here could be imported without the absurd restrictions imposed on these imported vehicles.

@ Francois,
Have you seen any Rammstein videos? I'm sure you remember their appearance in that Vin Diesel movie, xXx.
Obviously you could've googled these yourself, but anyway, here a few choice ones:
Links 234 remains my fave Rammstein vid , typical bludgeoning riffs with some unmistakable Teutonic ‘oompah’ thrown in:
http://video.google.co.uk/vid[....]579931379033848085&q=links+234
..and when they managed to make themselves incredibly bloated for the Keine Lust video...
http://video.google.co.uk/vid[....]88033035424706619&q=keine+lust
Then there's 'Sonne', a warped take of Snow White & the 7 dwarves in this vid here:
http://video.google.co.uk/vid[....]d=-2115830352321800041&q=sonne
...and generous dollops of sad-but-true satire in the song 'Amerika':
http://video.google.co.uk/vid[....]585094223192066946&q=rammstein
..with some Rammstein fans making their own music vids for LOTR:

Das Orc Muziek?!

@ wanqa, would love to watch those videos, but GoogleVideo chows bandwidth, and day 2 of the month and I have already used 1/5 of my bandwidth which I am supposed to use. Bandwidth is so expensive here! Things should get better soon I hope...
So Vodacom just responded to my complaint of the weasel and the scratches. I blatantly refused to drive through to there to get rid of them, and they are sending a driver to come pick it up. It is frustrating that I have to make it so hard for them, but I did originally tell them I want that thing gone, and instead I got it back and 2 game demos that I cannot remove. If enough people start giving them crap about that, I wonder if they will stop putting it on the phone and maybe just provide it free online for all the little 3year olds who want it on their handsets...

@786KBR,
Gee, wonder where they got hold of that Subaru...must be a mission to find things like oil filters, gaskets etc. for it, unless they're somehow generic with later Subarus, like the earlier Imprezas etc...(Can't make out the name on the left of the car in the pic...)
Can't even find anything similar here:
