I remember that I have seen a A2618 somewhere here on a picture from anyone's collection. I think it was an uploaded file. As I recall it was a yellow and grey design, looked somehow like Giger's alien or so.
By the way: All pictures I have taken from my A2618 can be found here: http://www.e-zones.net/image956.php

I have found it here, postet by happycheesecake: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=48353&start=1080
But no hint if it was part of a collection or maybe for sale. However, I'll go on searching for these covers

just got this silver ericsson r520m Made in Sweden today from an esato seller
01w38
r4a008
BUS 11 original
it is good to be Back to the Basics Mode.....
Anybody can share how durable the clip is which is included in the box? You know, that little screw which you have to screw at the left upper back portion of the unit.... and which you have to insert at that rounded portion of the clip which leaves your unit hanging freely.
many thanks.

Screw and clip are quite solid made and will last for a long time. You should only be careful with sportive actions like riding a bike since the phone can be pushed out of the clip with some force.
Whatelse you should know is that the clip will leave some scratchmarks in circles around the screw. Especially the soft back of the battery won't look like new anymore after a few weeks. If you don't care about that the clip is a good solution that allows you to easily pick and put back the phone with one hand.

I am amazed by the battery technology of Ericsson. Had this "given-up-for-good" original BSL 11 from my old R320. Standby time would not even last a day with very moderate use. After almost 6 months of inactive use, I tried this battery with my recently purchased Swedish r520m and after just 1 charge, battery meter just dropped by 1 bar AFTER a day of moderate use (call, text and gprs). In a scale of 1 to 10 for the bars, the battery meter is still 9/10s full. Amazing!!!!
Is this with regards to the fact that the r520m is still new compared to the old r320???
Many thanks for your enlightenment.
RoseWhite, thanks for the points to consider when using the clip.

There are two kind of phones where you can use your battery:
- T28, T29, R320
- T39, R520
The first phones work with a conexant RM009 power amplifier. This amplifier is known for a high power consumption. The T39 and R520 have new amplifiers from the next generation. They work much more effectively, dont't need much power and don't get hot anymore (like the RM009 did).
A T28 should work 2 to 2,5 days with a BUS-10 while a T39 will work up to a week or even more with the same battery. So the RM009-based models need about 3 to 4 times more battery power.

I got 8 batteries for T39m etc. The only problem is that only 2 work. Any ideas how to revive the others or is it not worth even trying?

Of course it is. You just need a power supply with voltage between 4 and 8 volt. Just connect the battery for a while (10 minutes should be enough) directly to the power supply and let it charge. After that the battery should have enough power so it can be charged by the phone again.
