A mini-USB port is 7mm wide. And that (by my calculations) means that that phone is somewhere around 143mm long.
Slightly bigger than the Xperia Z and also way thicker!
I say again, Phablet! |

Redone my calculations in a more scientific way (MS Paint ) and now i begining to think way larger than my first calculation. The new guess is 161mm and the thickness i find to be around 16 mm at the thickest point, and 8-9 at the top slim point.

Sounds like quite a hefty device if that's true.

It's not the phablet. It's a small device - hence the S code = ST. Just like Xperia L
What it could be, is a 5 incher device with Mediatek Quad A7 chip

Ugly cheap design. Remind me a bit to X10, but X10 looking 10x better than this...
Hope it won't come global...

That device is probably larger than my Ion.

Are you sure? That white phone look huge! Phablet?
user could just have small hands, besides it looks too cheap to be a high end tablet to compete with the note, no pen slot on the bottom if it is to be there, plus the bezel is massive. |

It might be a low end phablet or big screen phone? Dosen´t samsung have one och two of those also? Big phones with low to mid specs?
His/hers hands dosen´t strike me as small.
I for one think it´s a new monster of a phone (sizewise) and i don´t like the way things evolve. All manufacures release one gigantic phone after another. The problem is, people buy them so its just gonna keep comming! I blame the samsung note´s success. Now everyone else is hopping on this train straight to hell..... rant over.

I gotta say that I'd probably replace my XT with something bigger, as big as 5.5" or even 6". I wouldn't even dream of going back to anything smaller.

I'm thinking of replacing my Xperia S around September with the Xperia A because it's waterproof with a removable battery.
Anyone know the final dimensions of the XA?
Xperia blog has 139 x 71 x 7.9mm 5inch 1080p screen same as the Z,
a few pages back I read 131 x 67 x 10.5mm but a 720p 4.6inch screen.

If you're going to hotlink images, at least have the courtesy to provide the source.

Somehow I remembered SX with this photo, especially the one with the bright orange paint job. Oh, the phone that never made it out of Japan. Sony doesn't realize its potential outside of its home country. |
