An airbag doing on a motorcycle? What happens when you're flung off the thing...that's unless it also comes with a seatbelt...then it might as well be a car.
@francois: Good to hear you got your precious back.

@ da brixsta,
I really believe that it's mainly another gimmick accessory to delight the usually demanding, fuddy-duddy Goldwing owners who expect every conceivable gadget to be fitted to their Goldwings..
Some examples: a standard Goldwing comes with a CD shuttle, radio, electronically adjustable screen and mirror settings, adjustable suspension settings when riding, additional on-board power supply for other plug-in gadgets, etc etc.
Oh and surprise-surprise, the Goldwing is made in the Japanese firm's huge American factory, the country where most Goldwing sales are made.
Yes, they might as well have bought a car than a 2-wheeled deriative.
I'm just thinking, imagine how different the start of that Puff Daddy/P Diddy video (of his ode to the Notorious BIG) would've been if he fell off one of these airbag-equipped Goldwings, with the thing inflating as he 'falls' off, instead of the Suzuki GSX-R that he actually used!

@ Francois,
LOL, that's sharp. I really don't dig their music, and to make it worse, X-fm still plays 'I Predict A Riot' all too frequently.
Honestly, they absolutely kill popular songs on the radio stations here.
Speaking of music tastes...
When I'm doing admin etc after school each working day, I visit www.live365.com, choose the genre I feel like listening to and I'm a happy bunny...there's so many music stations to listen to there that it should pacify the most selective, discerning listeners out there.

Done master reset, nothing! Must be the cracked version of opera mini! I wil delete it then! The K800 price must come down! Else W810 is next! I noticed that the K800 is R99 per month, while the W810 is R140! Why?

Eish, that white screen is one of the few things which i dread, when it comes to phones. In a Symbian phone it's sometimes referred to as the "white screen of death", usually once the phone's picked up a destructive virus. Getting rid of the virus is sometimes such a hassle that often only a hard format will help... Thank heavens i've avoided that with my most recent two phones, thus far.
I'm not superstitious, merely mildly stitious. |

Yeah, the famed WSOD.That is what they call the White Screen Of Death. I had that, and that was the first or second night after getting my phone. After that i could not revive the thing. I used perfume, the charger, begged it to wake up, shook my fist in the direction of the SE headquaters in Europe, but to no avail. So i decided to take it back to the shop. The next day at work, since i would have only been able to go late afternoon, i thought i should try to upgrade the firmware. So while downloading the software, not knowing it will not work due to vodafone, i connect my phone to the pc, switch it on, and voila, it worked, and has ever since. Have not gotten the WSOD since that. In fact, the longer i have the phone, the more of the bugs seem to sort themselves out. I am thorougly happy with my choice:)
@ wanqa, i have had to listen jim bemoan the music industry in the k more than once, and what i have heard of the chiefs, musically that is, should be banned. Lucky they not played here much:)

So everyone shut down? What you guys up to this evening? I am sitting outside as usual. Two of my friends came round and we chatted. Janie, the younger of the two is very photogenic, and loves to pose, so i took about a hundred pictures of her. Got some pretty beautiful pictures. She should be a model, but just too short for that. She is doing the fashion design thing though.i would love to post some of these pictures i took, but yeah, esato does not want to do that for me. Why, i will myspace them and post a link, how about that?

I'm pretty much awake.
I'm really disappointed; I had set the DVD recorder to record a programme for da brixsta and it never recorded it... even though I checked that the DVD recorder was recording fine earlier in the day.
To rub salt into the wound, there was a programme on MTV Base about the Wu Tang Clan's history which I had also set up to record.
It was a brand new DVD-RW disc, and it was on the right Sky channel.
I eventually found the problem.
The DVD recorder is set to AV1 to record from the Sky decoder. Playback is on AV2 on the TV. While I was doing chores around the house, I must've accidently bumped the Input Select button on the DVD recorder's remote, which then resulted in the recorder recording a blank screen. I realised when I saw the DVD recorder's display reading '7' and not the usual 'A1' (for AV1)...to my utter dismay.
It's absolutely murphy's law, as it was working fine when I tested it before I cleaned up around the house, and there's never a need to change any settings on the DVD recorder, just rotten bloody luck that I must've somehow nudged the button and didn't notice it on the recorder's display before we went out!
In short, I stuffed up; I should've checked; I've never had a hassle recording with the equipment before apart from when I initially set everything up, and I guess I paid the price for complacency.
@ da brixsta,
xolo; Sky are bound to have a re-run of the episode on one of their channels next month; will try again then.

Thanks swaer. BTW, just something you may need to take into account when you next speak to Jim or anyone in the UK: Winter daylight saving is effective as of midnight tonight, so all clocks, watches etc have been moved back 1 hour, thus there is a 2 hour time difference between the UK & SA from now until the last weekend in April 07.

@da wanqsta: Don't worry too much, I'm having the same issues with my DVD recorder...got a video card with a built-in PVR but it cannot pick up anything except SABC2.
