Im on Orange in the uk and tried to update,
It still says my phone has the current version.

I have a Orange Phone and not a Unbranded one working on orange.

This may have something to do with it?

Let me have a go now.
Don't let me down!

Edit: Oh my goodness! I'm having exactly the same problem as numb had!

I wish SE were just rolling out the new FW...

@numb:

It was the operator problem. I have had my completely SIM free K700 for a year and this was the first time I had this problem.

phew

My advice - dont try to update anymore - or youl risk ending up where I am now. use a servicecentre instead if possible.

This nogood updateservice has now ruined a phone for me 2 times

Im really fed up

Flashing screen after update
Try this:
Just take the battery off for about 10-20 seconds and put it back.
Worked fine for me anyway

ok - fixed it now.

Had to buy 2 davinci logs, do a recover dead phone, and then a flash of the new firmwares.
Phew, it now works again.

Mate, I'm sure you'll agree that the cost of those two credits was worth not being without it for a month.

My phone's updating as I type, fingers crossed it goes alright.

And I actually only used one, the recoverpart was free
