Sony started to update z1 and Z ultra too 4.3 today! it seems like the problem with the camera when you unlock the bootloader on z1 is gone now! http://www.xperiablog.net/201[....]-xperia-z1-and-xperia-z-ultra/

zomgbbqftw on Xperia Z Ultra WiFi:

Had a hands on with the Xperia Z Ultra wifi. Essentially a mini-tablet. Comes with a bigger battery and a soft touch plastic back rather that the glass one on the 4G ZU.
Used one with 4.4 which was pretty nice.
It will retail for £299, €399, $399. The only thing that would make it better would be a 7" screen rather than the 6.44" one. It's also expensive compared to the Nexus 7, but the build quality is much better and the screen is also better.

Hopefully it's the same as Tablet Z's back, that was better.

as i thought, L39t is just inferior chinese version of the international Z1 (32 gb internal but no micro sd slot and plastic sides): http://www.xperiablog.net/201[....]n-china-as-the-xperia-z1-l39t/

Wow... So, this lets the Xperia Z1 mini and ZU WiFi only for CES?
Where are our insiders?
Edit, From XperiaBlog
"however there is still a chance that this phone will launch in other markets such as T-Mobile in the United States under the ‘Xperia Z1s’ name we heard about previously." No surprise Here, but I thought that this Z1s will carry a better SoC...Soo, Sony bring me the Z2!
@my ninja
Because Z1 is too big for a 5" Display
OT: I didnt know that Z1f had Glove Mode http://youtu.be/3lBIPHUPhE8?t=1m42s
My next phone indeed

about gloves mode, xperia sp has it. i wonder, why don't all xperia phone have gloves mode? i hope that all upcoming phones will adopt that feature like z1f. it's useful and doesn't require special hardware. you can turn it on and off in settings.

I agree. There are probably other software features that could easily be implemented across the range quite easily too.

‘Xperia Z1 refresh’ launches in China as the Xperia Z1 (L39t)
And I was right, it was a Chinese Z1.

Hehe I know, Also Sola has this feature. But I am wondering Why Z1 does not have it... About a port of Glove Mode, seems more hardware related than just software
From XDA
Xperia sola hosts dual touch sensors while all other phones just have one! Single capacitance and mutual capacitance touch sensors! |

@jonfensu
nice info. i didn't catch it when i looked.
anyway, glove mode should be normal feature in any highend device.
SONY, PLEASE STOP CUTTING CORNERS...
watch this hilarious video "Xperia SP... Glove Test!!": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJo4smGaxoI
if you ever thought of using your phone while in boxing gloves in glove mode, now you can.
