For me, right now, arc's camera seems to bring nothing new to the table.

It's a mobile camera, i think the x10i is great for a mobile, and the arc brings SPEED you can take like 10 pictures while the x10i manages one. that is a excelent "new thing to the table" imo who needs more than 8MP anyways. give us better optics (but it's a thin mobile, you can't fit it) if you want a camera buy a camera.

it has a dedicated miniHDMI so i guess 2 image output is 1 to many.

Xperia phones will use Bravia Link in order to connect HDTVs. It's not exclusive to Sony TVs either.

Arc's photos are noticeably noisier than the X10's (this may change on the final version) but the colours are a lot more natural than the X10. Beside who blows their phone photos up to full size.
On that basis Arc is slightly better camera than X10. |

I have a decision now to make between the Sony Ericsson Arc, LG Optimus Black or the Samsung Galaxy S 2. At the moment the Optimus Black is right favourite. |

HTC Desire S due in April for 500 euro, Incredible S priced 520 euro. And you're saying Arc is expensive If I'm correct, the major differences between Incredible S and Arc are in the screens (4" vs 4.2"), RAM (768 MB vs 512 MB), camera (Arc's one will certainly be better) and Android version (2.2 vs 2.3) |

The same site has Xperia Arc at 600 Euro and Play at 650. So ? Arc is 80 Euro more expensive than Incredible S and 100 Euro more expensive than Desire S.
And 120 Euro more than Xperia Neo.

How bout we save the price arguments until the devices are released. Then you can argue REAL (final) prices!
moving on...
not sure if this has been posted... but the Exmor R actually works, and works well by the look of it:

And f/2.4 is also new cams' strong point, but sample photos have sony NR written all over them and I really hate that kind of approach to NR.
On the other hand I believe it will still produce decent photos inferior only to i9100 in android camp.
