Nah. In the Contacts menu on the Mini. If I click on Sony Ericsson Sync, it just brings up a white screen which then tells me to click on a link if it doesn't load in 10 seconds.

The browser is working just fine, so I don't know why it isn't picking up my data connection.

Seem to be having the same problem with Google Sync. It doesn't seem to detect my EDGE connection.

I tried to manually sync with Google, and this time there is activity as indicated by the flashing EDGE icon in the notification bar (which doesn't happen when trying to sync with either SE Sync or Google)

Still doesn't work though. Either a database error or https error.

Just synced with SE Sync with no issues. Must be your network/mobile provider that has issues in their network. It can be that your operator only allows certain protocols such as HTTP (port 80) to be used while otehrs like HTTPS (port 443) is prohibited.

If you can get the wifi connection to work, might be your best bet.

When I first got my Mini Pro, I hadn't subscribed to mobile data yet so I did everything over wifi until my subscription became active.

Go to the settings and disable data transmission (There's also a built in widget for it)

Then enable wifi and setup to connect to your home network.

@Arne Anka: I did end up trying SE Sync. While it synced the contacts from my old phone, the sign in page on the mini refuses to load.

Will try Google Sync when I get back home.

Managed to get the PC Companion installed. Took a few restarts before the option popped up. However, it keeps crashing. Can't do anything with it'
Dunno if it's cause it's Windows 7 x64 or what.

Typing this all from the phone. Must say, the keyboards a pleasure to use.

No problems at all here on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

I had to set PC Companion to Vista compatibility mode to get it working.

I've managed to import all my contacts using VCardIO, though all numbers show up as 'Other'. At least that's out of the way.

Still no sync, so can't access any of Google's services from the native apps, nor through the browser. Bummer. Looked around a bit, reset the phone a few times (seems that skipping Google account setup during first start causes problems later on) all in vain.

Also, I can't download files from the browser. The download process begins, and all that is says is 'waiting for data connection'.

Plus, Opera Mini isn't working as it can't detect an internet connection. How is the default browser picking it up then, cause at this moment, it's about the only thing that IS detecting internet access.

@ diffused: You have a limited gprs data connection which will not work on android. Only the default browser works with limited gprs. You will have to activate full html gprs from your service provider. If u have vodafone , you will have to switch to the "vodafone mobile connect" plan instead of "vodafone" live service. it works flawlessly with android. if you have a dolphin connection, then they give the full gprs by default.

I've just noticed that my X10 mini has 2 apps already installed that my Mini Pro doesn't have. The mini has a Google Voice search icon (red square) and a Geotags application. My X10 Mini Pro doesnt have these.

I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose

@pao, it would depend how the avi was encoded, and how big it it.

@Malinda, supposedly by Q3... Fingers crossed... Hoping SE surprises us with 2.2 hehehehe but I'm not holding my breath.

Depends what codec the AVI uses. Never the less, if you install RockPlayer you can play pretty much anything (DivX, avi, mkv, rmvb, etc.).
