^ Yes those are pics I took of my K790i and it's a final hardware release version. The build quality is very good but of course high res quality pics will always emphasize tiny faults. |

Tiny faults ? If SE expects us to put up with those "tiny faults" after paying a few hundred Euros for the unit, then I'm afraid they're very mistaken !

give me a break.... proto's usually have the best build quality so you're in for a shocker... if you think the production ones will be better quality...

Just been to my local o2 shop...they arent expecting deliveries fo k800's till LATE JULY!!!

@eBopBob - I can find tiny faults in pics taken with my 6mp Nikon D70 DSLR when blown up to full resolution. If you are expecting perfection from a 3.2mp Camera phone with fixed aperature at f2.8, you are in for big disappointment.

jasonl33, seems to somehow got onto my gmail account and did something bec i just got an offer for my k790 and suppositly i emailed him back asking for a ridiculous price of 750US. I wouldnt have asked for so little since I paid SO MUCH!
Just for everyones safety. IP seems to be the same too. I need to find this dude and teach him now to use other peoples refs, acc'ts and all that crap. |

Yeah that sounds right. It normally comes on SIM free first and then contracta month later. 3 arent releasing it till July either. |

In response to carsmovies saying this is the final build - I'm a little confused. Was it not mentioned that the Cybershot sticker was removed in favour of having the Cybershot logo flush and seamlessly integrated into the screen cover?
This clearly isn't the case with the photos posted - what's going on?
And I agree that these gaps in the case are far more than tiny faults.
Tervel, you may not have realised but we're meaning the actual build flaws in the phone's casing rather than photographic quality, as my previous image posted highlighted.
The build quality seen here is FAR more than terrible! Especially if carsmovies is right and it is a final release, although I doubt it.

Precisely... thats not a 'final' model of the K790 and so people shouldn't think so. One thing is that Sony Ericsson would release 'final' versions in that crappy state, nor is the K790/K800 going to have that Cyber-Shot sticker, it will be intergrated onto the front... making the phone not only look smaller but also making it look a hell of a lot cooler.

hard to say... we can only hope the front will be changed.. but as it stands these are final hardware versions... also the official SE site still has the k800 and k790 with the sticker in all there artwork

Well, actually there was no 'official' confirmation of the cybershot sticker being made flush. Just a bunch of pictures in which we assumed would be changed. I don't think that we should go as far as to say that having the label flush means that it is a final build.
