@francois: That's straight foul...How could they give you that crappy Motorola.
Going from a powerful workhorse to a the crappiest of the crappiest must be akin to Verwoerd washing the feet of Steve Bantubonke Biko...a mission implausible.
Good luck with ur new phone:grin:

Hey Francois,
Mrs A and I are really impressed big-time by 'Fear of Silence'!(nice logo too, BTW.)
After the first few seconds, I initially thought of U2's Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me song from one of the Batman movies, and I can clearly pick up some Vangelis/ Massive Attack influences there too, with 'industrial' genre influences towards the latter part of the track...bloody good, matey.
You've got talent there swaer; and as stated on myspace, that kinda stuff could be used in all manner of movies for soundtracks etc;.... maybe some Hollywood producer bigwigs should be sent a few demos too.
Before I forget, what music programme/s do you use?

Yo brixsta, are you given your coveted beverage the middle finger in that pic?! LOL, jokes. BTW, nice clear pic there!
Eish, SA on TV again, one program about grand properties abroad with a focus on SA, followed by this, Ross Kemp (of Eastenders) with a series about gangs around the world, and this week was on, well you've probably guessed by now:
This guy runs a boxing academy to try and keep some of the kids on The Flats out of the gangster lifestyle.
Kemp also managed to arrange interviews with several gang hierachies on the Flats and in Pollsmoor Prison, including the notorious leader John Mongrel, who eventually agreed to an interview. After watching it, and him giving some info about part of the gang initiations etc quite nonchalantly, one is unfortunately reminded of just how evil and sick humans can be...
I'm not here to judge, I don't know how much was truth and/or sensationalism and thus it's unfair for me to do so, and I think back again to Francois' link to that Congo article where the question about 'savages' in the guise of clandestine corporate actions raises its head.
However, we can't let the woes of the world drag us down;I'm not suggesting we should ignore what's going on or turn a blind eye--that would be ignorantly (and to an extent arrogantly) dismissive, but we're far more useful to the cause by contributing to positive changes in whatever way or form that we can.

A blessed and peaceful Eid to all our Muslim friends.
@Wanqa, absolutely agreed! Too much violence in the world as it is, and that article about the Congo really made an impact on me as well. Yep, the search for Utopia continues... This insert came from ananova.com
A brewery in the States has launched the world's strongest
beer. The drink - at 25% alcohol - is six times more powerful than a normal beer and twice the strength of a bottle of wine. And at £56 a bottle, Samuel Adams Utopias is also among the world's most expensive. Just 8000 of the limited edition 24oz tipple, sold in a copper kettle, have been brewed by the Boston Beer Company. Brewery founder Jim Koch said the beer was designed to be
enjoyed slowly as an after-dinner tipple.
He said: "We are passionate about brewing quality, one-of-a-kind beer that amazes beer lovers and aficionados alike."

@da wanqsta: I could never give the middle finger to my favourite brew. Bought a six pack of Pilsner Urquell on the weekend, it's okay but definitely an acquired taste...nice and smooth.
I'd like to watch that programme and check for all the stereotypes.

@ Siosal, my phone used to switch off randomly, but that has stopped. Think it was just the battery. It just got better and better every day, and don't think it has happened for a long time at all. The other thing, and it is, no matter what anyone say, the crappest thing on SonyEricsson phones, my headset connector does not stay in anymore. I sent that in as well. It is not the phone, but the headset. My charger and other cables connect perfectly, it is just the headset. And last but not least, the weasel, he must go. I don't care what they think but if I cannot delete those weasel pictures when I get it back, they will know about it. I am still traumatized by the first offering we got, the thing stripping its fur. That was disgusting!

Oh. Please let me know if they debrand your phone. Or remove that weasel. I hate it twice as much.
And maybe having a crap phone will make you appreciate your own that much more.....

@psycho: I never dissed the beer, just said that it's an acquired taste...I actually like because it's smooth on the palate but the aftertaste is quite bitter.

@ siosal, will do so...
You guys know it, i will be so happy when I get my phone back...I thought not having it around will help me study, but I couldn't...usually I have Vangelis drowning out all the noise...Tried just the earphones, but then my heartbeat got loud...lol!
@ amawanqa, Thank you bro, glad you and the mrs liked it...At least there is someone else other than people in my personal close friendship group who likes it. (They kinda have to...gun against the head thing=) Getting anyone else to listen when you don't wear a tight shirt, and pose with a seductive smile is a bit hard...
Music is really what I want to do. Would be great if I get to that point. I use 2 applications, and 1 plug-in...The applications are Reason 2.5, Cool Edit Pro 2 (now known as Adobe Audition) and the plug-in is called Amplitube. Amplitube is for the crunching guitars at the end. You can make a guitar sound as sweet or heavy as you want to.
So another cooking day here in the purple city...have to wear shades to look anywhere outside.... |

Which reminds me, what is the new J&B that is out? It is more expensive, but wow, that is one smooth whiskey...
Psycho, is there any way you can get my song downloaded some other way? If so, I can put a web site up from which you can download.

i think i must've told Phumza a hundred times this morning, put away that phone, it's going to fall into the water... But what do i know, after all, i'm not 12years old, i'm OLD lol. Well, the Swartkops River eventually claimed her Samsung E330 a few minutes ago. Right now it's swimming with the fishes

lol! Kids and phones....It's kinda like when I facilitated camps. We used to take the kids to row around on the Crocodile river, which has claimed quite a few sets of sunglasses...at least I don't spend more than 100 bucks on glasses I will use on camp.
Man, the crocks used to freak me out! especially afterwards, when we would wash out the boats, standing barefoot in muddy water in a river named after a predator...
OH dear! I think that was post number 8000! (pats himself on the back while the others at the office look at him, wondering if he has finally lost it)
