huni>- Let me understand what you are trying to say. You were saying the GoldHill ppl told you your T68mc after converting to T68ic and you cannot have English T9? That is bullshit. When I had my T68mc sw, I do not have the English T9. So I did convert to T68m sw which I have the T9 in it. But after my upgarding to "ic" versions, not only I have the Chinese T9 and the English T9 was there also.

Here is how the conversion works. Let me explain to you one more time. Say now you are holding a T68mc. And you want to have an English T9. Yes, you can convert your T68mc to T68m. But all your Chinese Strokes, Hanyu Pinyin and Bopomofo will be gone. It will work like a T68 function on your T68mc phone.

Now if you upgrade to the "i" versions. Yes, The upgrading sw can only recgonise your "Original" T68mc sw in your phone. That also means
that after the upgrading, your conversion of T68mc to T68 sw will be all gone. After the upgrading, It will back to "ic" sw and will not be "i" sw. However, it has an advantage, ALL "IC" will come with English T9. So you have both as what my T68ic had given me.

In regards of my RS 232 cable, I cannot remember how much did I buy at this moment. However I can check it out for you and let you know later.

TONYG>> so your fone is a T68mc one? How could you get the "ic" sw? Did you convert it at Kallang pudding? I have converted it to the "m" verson like you advised me before. But now the pple at Goldhill told me that its not posible to do the convertion of T68mc recently due to blah blah blah. And they tell me to get back the fone and wait 2 more wkss.! thatz suxx.

huni>- No lah! Even you had converted from mc to m, when you are doing the upgrading, it will automatically convert to "ic" and not "i" with no choice. I did it at Kallang on mine. I do not know why the GoldHill side retained your phone for. Okay, huni, I will do you a favour, let me check and talk to the Technical Manager on your problems and get an explanation from him. I will let you know the answer asap.

I called up Goldhill on Monday and they told me the sw will be released either on Wed or Thurs? How come some of you got it so soon? Can we just go down instead of calling and demand for the upgrade?

Hey seems like the MCA-20 it completely out of stock! I called M1 and Singtel, both have the same answer, at least M1 said earliest stock will come in July. This guy at Singtel said not confirmed, might not even bring in new stock. I have even tried all the shops in Lucky Plaza and Far East.. all say out of stock.
Anyone knows where I can get hold of one?

huni>- I will try my best to help you up. I have take note of your EGP No. Hopefully I can solve your problems. Will post to you as soon as I got the answers.

orang3> dumbo>- I will suggest go down to the SC personally instead of calling them. Even though calling SE Singapore is also wrong. They will leave it to the SC to do the arrangment. You should call the SC. As for the MCA-20, the last time I make enquiry at the SC was 1 0r 2 weeks ago. And they have stock there. Now I won't know. Give Kallang Centre a call and also the all the service points. You may be lucky one of the places have stock.
