V9.86 has super fast focus speed and shutter speed. I guess the only thing I can complain about this driver is its sharpness. Well, seeing that I'm using imagenomic's noiseware to post-alter the sharpness, I envision this driver to be one of a kind if its sharpness can be tweaked while maintaining its overall speed.

For me somehow macro mode did not work, but I found that the macro mode is useless now. It seemed that normal mode is able to capture macro equally well than v2.71. K's modified v5.3 has got the fast shutter speed but lacks in the fast focus speed.

Oh i was getting all excited about the new v5.3 driver and then i saw the macro pics and then i got annoyed because those pics using it looked well good. Fix that problem soon. Please.
Edit: Is there a way to change the recording file type to mp4?

still not as sharp or as colourful as 5.3... could we mix this aspects? with speed of 9.89 with the detail of 5.3?

First of all great work by the guys working on the camera driver. I think you are all qualified to be SE employees.
I was testing 9.86 and 9.89. with the latest I dont see any difference between macro mode and normal mode. Night mode is slow. Can make out by the shutter sound.
I was focusing the camera with both the versions on to my CRT screen. The lines on the screen moves slowly on 9.86.
See if these observations make any sence for you guys.

The lines moving slowly is the refresh rate of the CRT screen....
