@epohcj: while you are welcome to PNF, you must understand that this is a discussion forum; not a classifieds board to plug your website. This is not the first time you are posting this. What you are doing is called spamming, and it is annoying.
To add to this, everytime I clicked on your link, the site is not available. Everytime.
Please join in the discussions or leave be. Sorry, I may sound hard; we'll make up later and be friends.

He had an extra forward slash. Even then, the site did not appear on my browser.
Talking about browsers... I find that Firefox is faster than Opera. I use Firefox on my lappy and Opera in the office. When I browse, I open 6 or more pages at once: Yahoo, Google (searching something), PNF, Prodigts etc. My Opera struggles when I do that and now I just keep it to 3 windows open. Can anyone confirm?

@ coola..: Firefox is in no way faster than Opera. At best it is almost as fast as Opera. This has nothing to do with number of tabs open. The only thing I might agree with is that Opera still has issues(quite few though) opening certain pages
@ all: The P1 is officially available(according to SEs website),that should bring down the price of P990,W950 & M600..hopefully |

In my experience over the years, Firefox has always been significantly faster than Opera. This has nothing to do with the number of tabs opened. After a while, I simply stopped using Opera for desktop.
In addition, Opera seems hampered loading certain web pages.

@AYA: Did you eventually download the Safari browser? I'm a recent Firefox convert having used IE and Opera over the years...also briefly used Safari on Mac back in the day when I was still working in that environment.

Yes; I did. It is an excellent browser. I prefer its smooth, clean interface over Firefox's. However, Firefox beats it in speed and the amazing variety of add-on extensions.
I ditched Windows for Ubuntu Linux on my laptop recently, so I'm back to Firefox full time. I am yet to find a Linux port of the Safari browser. Firefox does an excellent job anyway.

Me too.
@234hay: Esato news has no reports yet of the P1 hitting the stands.

@ ambyzown: Believe it,its available(maybe not yet in Nigeria though). There has been no new news posted on esato for a week or so.Its available in England as I type. see www.allaboutsymbian.com
@ aya,brix,coola...: I think I'll have my humble pie now(a small slice though).I just did a side by side comparison of Opera and Firefox loading Yahoo and Firefox was indeed faster. HOWEVER, Opera is very much the browser when clicking the Back button. |

The P1i has hit the shelves (and web shops) for about a week now around the world. My link with Otigba says he is yet to see a unit on sale in Nigeria yet. Of course, give it a week or two and there'll be someone in Lagos or Abuja clutching one soon.
Early adopter reports have been fairly good. Some general complaints about camera picture quality seem to cut across board though.

I lost respect for SE symbian a long time ago after the buggy p990, but may give this p1 a try if the price is right. I've been reading some good reviews so it seems I will have to learn how to call with the jog dial. |

Don't we all eat our words every now and then. I can't count the number of times I ranted about against a phone, then turned around a purchased it much later. Somehow, these manufacturers seem to win. They must have psychologists and sociologists on their advisory panels
