Ah, I don't have any of those games anyway. I'll add you anyway just in case we eventually do have a game in common!
@Everyone: Can I have your opinions on the improved(?) first post please? I'm not sure whether its showing up too dark for you guys, and whether or not the background image is too pale or whatever. Thanks in advance!

front page looks ok. maybe change the black writing to a light grey or light blue, could cause problems with people with a lower brightness/contrast level on their monitor

Thanks fellas. Man, all that code really takes a bit of work! And so much trial and error!
How'd everybody's weekend go?

Not bad, worked Sat, watched the Olympics and lurked here for the rest of it! Made the family some Hamburgers for dinner - handmade patties, lettuce, egg, onions, cheese, tomato, any more and I can't get my mouth around it
When we get some more GSM networks I'll create some links and info for the first post with HSDPA speeds and SE models available. In the mean time, I forgot to mention that on Friday I noticed the 3G+ symbol in Silverdale north of Auckland (just down the road from Whangaparoa actually) but was unable to do a speedtest. I'll try that sometime soon.

Found an interesting piece by Bob Jones (wealthy NZ property magnate, boxing expert and raconteur) about how useless cellphones are as a business tool. It's lengthy but great fun and insightful too. It's an excerpt from one of his books so I hope I'm not breaching copyright I found it on the iStart website. iStart are the publishers of MyMobile Magazine in case you were wondering...
"I do not understand, to the point of bafflement, why people carry telephones around with them for commercial purposes. They got along much better before these things turned up..." more
I've heard Bob Jones on Radio Sport when he used to speak regularly with one of the DJ's there. He is superb and doesn't mince words...
I've had a look around the regional forums and alot of the regional threads are slow moving and some have died. It seems to be a trend that people aren't chatting in those threads anymore except for several threads where English is a 2nd language. Even the immensely popular India Thread Reloaded didn't appear in the awards We kiwis are lucky to have our original poster still present and the first post is now second to none!

Maaaan, you're making me hungry! That sounds like an awesome dinner. Home-made is always better than bought if you do it right!
Thanks for doing that! Half of our first post is your work already! Yeah there are a lot of regional threads that are dead or close to it. I think the South African thread is the only one that really challenges ours in terms of first post effort, but then I don't know when that was last updated.
Anyway, don't expect ours to die soon. I really enjoy working on making it better and we've got a great group of us keeping it going. I'm not going anywhere!

Hahaha that Bob Jones article is great. Its funny, it reminds me of what my mum was telling me about a week ago. A man called her in regard to a painting that he wanted to buy from my mum's art gallery. He wanted some details about the painting so he rang up and asked mum for the shop email address. My mum was a bit confused about why he wanted the email address when they were already talking on the phone, so she offered to give him any details he wanted right then and there, via phone. To that he said, "No, no, I want to send an email and get the information".
Now that just shows how screwed up we've become due to technology. This guy, rather than talking in person, wanted to go the anti-social, anonymous route and send an email. Just like young kids preferring to text each other in horrible text language than to give each other a call. Calling is so much quicker. It doesn't make any sense.
Don't get me wrong, text messaging is great. But I just think that having a whole one hour or longer conversation via 160 character text messages is plain ridiculous. At that rate, soon people will be texting their friend sitting next to them, or parents will be texting their children to come to the dinner table when they're only in the next room.
Phones are great. Just use them in moderation!

MyMobile Magazine has C902 listed at $899, same price as the LG Secret, N81 and P1i. C702 is available according to SE's wbsite but isn't in the magazine or on Vodafone's Online Store. Dick Smith Electronics has the original N95 at $799 and K800i at runout price of $299.
On the down side, it looks like S302 is no longer coming to NZ.

Yeah I saw the C902 in it, but I've yet to see it in any shop. I've seen no sign of the C702 at all, so I doubt that one. The SE NZ website isn't run by SE NZ I think.
Anyway, that $899 price for the C902 is crap. I don't expect I will be paying any more than $730 when I get mine, and that's with warranty, everything working fine, and no Vodafone branding!
The S302 is no loss in my opinion.

what about c905 hopefully it won't be a horrific cost. when it comes out I'll do a search on price spy. I wont pay much over $700 even if it has 8.1 mp camera and looks really cool (imo) |
