so guys yep now i'm one of you just received my c901 yesterday...phone looks good...but for the camera i wasn't really able to enjoy the quality for some strange reasons...maybe it's only me not seeing quality or it should be like this...but the results from 100 pics i took yesterday somehow can't compare even to my w810 very sreange...
it has nevest firmware..028..camdriver 2.9 but strange thing with the quality is happening...even if it seems that it is focusing propersly (not always of course) but when you take the picture post processing filter seems to ruin everything..i don't know why...
here are some samples (i know guys you won't be astonished about them as well)

by the way...the level of NOISE was the the first thing that let me down big time photos seem to be muffled...something like NOKIA filter..very stange
ALSO how does your screen dim? is it choppy? or is it dimming smoothly (like my c510 did)? because this one for some reason is very choppy and doesn't dim smoothly and it doesn't look good at all..maybe something wrong with the light sensor? anyone had any issues with this?

Your light sensor is working fine from what you've described. The picture quality is actually miles better than the W810. I've done quite a few night shots (even night sky ones with clouds and a bright moon), low light and day shots with the phone and i've rarely had a bad one. Noise has never been a problem in pictures either.

your photos look out of focus, and maybe your hands move alot,
try capture using middle Dpad button. it will aitomatically focus and then take the picture.. |

pixel quality of night shots is very good, they are blurry because of longer than normal exposure time, so it's all about the hands. I can't understand what exactly could happen on first shot - ISO and exposure time just don't fit to light conditions. overexposure is massive and hands + exposure time blurred everything

the first shot was also a very nasty surprise for me as i didn't know how to react to this quality... but this was the first one made when i took phone out of the box...there's nothing to do with the hands have been taking pictures with my w810 (where you had to keep steady for about 20s in night shots) and c510 and never had any problems |

let's try with flash then and see if problem persists.
or put it on the table and set the timer on.. |

@ the sun
very good suggestion about Dpad thanks a lot man...
here are examples
with the camera button

with Dpad
http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/7746/dsc00776b.jpg
strangest thing ever...maybe the camera button is faulty...as it's focusing not properly...hmm very strange never had any issues with camera button on any of the phones. any suggestions what can be wrong here?
but still i think that post processing filter is doing something dodgy...especially indoors...maybe outdoors it's not so noticable but indoors you can see clearly...from the second you take the picture and see it in the screen to when it saves it there's slight difference...and the picture that i take before the SE applies it's post pricessing filters looks much much better and clearer
p.s. check the ISO speed of both pictures and you'll that there's something wrong with the way the camera button works...

actually there is nothing wrong with the ISO speed,
ISO speed increase to compensate vibrations/ movements..
that means, your hands is more stable on dpad. |

Try reinstalling the firmware. When I received mine there were black lines flickering across 3/4 of the screen. Reinstalled the firmware and everything was fine after. Not seen your pics yet cos i'm viewing Esato wap atm. Just wondering if somethings happened during transport. I've also heard that the manufacturer has been known to leave a plastic film on the lens which they should have removed causing blurry pics.
