Connecting to Celtel's gprs has been difficult for 2 days now especially from early evening to the following morning. When available the connection is terribly slow...congestion? Another poor planning from Celtel?
I'm back to Glodirect now while monitoring Celtel connection on another handset, when it improves I have to swap sims again.

I experienced these same issues recently too. But I suggest that you pick up your Celtel SIM again now. I've been able to browse without those hitches for about 24 hours now. Hopefully, they've solved whatever the problem was.

@amby/AYA: Make una no mind me, I replaced my Celtel sim since Friday afternoon and I have been browsing without interruption since then.
So are you guys enjoying your phones, W810 and E61i?
I saw the dummy of the E61i, it is slimmer and more attractive than the E61. I really hope Nokia/SE will come up with QWERTY sliders in the near future.

@brym!: The E61i is really cool with its metal casing and black outline. Of course, with the excellent track record of the older E61, the 'i' version performs beautifully. The migration was made painless with the "Transfer" feature in both phones. Via a Bluetooth or Infra red connection, I was able to move most of my files, bookmarks, etc. seamlessly from the E61 to E61i.

So far so good...

@Amby, why didn't u get the M600i, I thought that was what u intended to buy initially?

I actually did get the M600i and used it for about 4days, but I really found it difficult using the qwerty keypad and the virtual keyboard is so small that I get foggy eyed after about 10mins use. So for this same reason I won't be getting the P1 when it is released. I've opted instead for the W960i.

@pxt: The W810i was the only phone in the same price range with the M600i that I liked. I had to return it and take another. I like my W810i, I no get power like una biggies

you can get them from these sites-

1.www.series60v3.com
2.www.dotsis.com
3.www.gsmhosting.com
4.www.myseries60v3.com

N.B. Some of the applications are not signed so you have to sign them else you will get a certificate error when installing them. Secondly, make sure you have a good anti-virus before installing a third party application. If you don't have an anti-virus pre-installed then google the net for mobile trend mobile security. It has in addiction firewall protection and sms spam manager. Please never you installed two anti-virus at the same time.

@areaf... Here are some useful nokia codes-
1. *#7370#. This will re-format the phone. You will lose everything (messages, contacts, applications, images, sounds etc)you have in that phone so back up your phone using your pc suite
2. *#7780#. This will restore your phone to it's original settings without losing your data.
3. *#2820#. Your bluetooth device address

Actually, no anti-virus is necesarry for s60 devices. There is no known virus that the platform is susceptible to. Eventually, an anti-virus software only adds up to sluggish performance of the device while really doing nothing.

Has anyone used Starcomms internet service? I have some questions about the broadban speeds they keep yapping about.

I am currently using multilinks and the speed is as slow as my gprs speeds. The phone show TX/RX speeds that don't exceed 9.6KBPs/48KBPS. So I wonder if it is my modem that is slow or it is the multilinks network that is slow.

I also wonder if the broadband speeds of Starcomms is dependent on the phone itself.

I need explanations.
