Brym and Amby I hope by now you guys will know what we easterners suffer on that road, Lagos to Benin is just half the journey, and the road is even better than Benin to east.:-(

The best thing president Umar Yar A'dua can do to win my heart (And I presume that of several Nigerians too), is to permanently solve the Lagos-Benin road problem. Its so bad now that travellers sleep on the way. It took me 9hrs to get to Benin from lagos, despite the fact that I took shortcuts that saved me some time. its really pathetic that in this 21st century roads like that still exist. We really need a minister of roads & highways in this country.

I entered Lagos by 5pm on Monday after about 6 hours of travelling through the old route: Benin-Owo-Akure-Ife-Ibadan-Lagos. An increasing number of transporters prefer this longer route to the terrible Sagamu-Benin route. Today's Guardian reported that two tankers caught fire and got burnt at Ore. Apparently, one tanker was trying to pull out another broken one from a hole on the Sagamu-Benin road and somehow caught fire which spread to the second tanker. Two hawkers lost their lives.
I hope Yar'Adua will address this issue soonest. About time he moves FERMA to the Presidency.
Back to telecomms; has anyone tried operamini 4 recently? There's improved performance on my WM device...no more crashing. I'm enjoying the experience so far, thanks to free browsing.

@All Sorry I have dropped off for some weeks. Great to see all you regulars. How did the Celtel free Sunday call go last weekend?
Is it just me or is Glo really slow in innovation these days?
@Abu Since you are in Abuja, let's see and have lunch one of these days. Not weekends sha bcos I need to see future Mrs. Coola in Jos.

I need a good advice.
I want to buy a better fone than N93 which i'm presently using, but within the price range of N95 (which is the naturally upgrade for N93, and which i'm thinking of gettin) ie N83,000 which fone should i go for that will give me better value that amount?
Thank for the advice. |

@Coola: Until yesterday, Celtel was not billing some of us for gprs usage.
Glo don tire. Na 'follow follow' dem dey do na. Dem just drop their BlackBerry connection rates and device prices to meet that of MTN. Adenuga should come back... who dey pursue am sef? All our 'thief thief' governors never run, why Adenuga dey run from EFCC?
@Area: Better than N93? The N95 is the best mobile device for that price unless you want to wait for the E90 which currently sells for about $850 in Europe.
@All: At this extremely low rate of posting, the obituary of this forum is not far off.

thanks brym for ur response, i called slot the gsm shop at computer village and i was told that E90 is presently available and it costs N180k.
@all i've always wondered in my Nokia smart phone, when filling in a new phone number in my phone's contact phone book, why the birthday date that i fill in, is not automatically sychronised with the calander on the phone, for reminder purposes? if Nokia can impliment this small concept i want to believe it will catch on with other manufacturers. |

I was looking to buy the e90, but I think 180K for a phone is insane! I will have to wait, and may be, wait and.... |

@Area: Sorry, that facility is available on WM as a third pary freeware plug-in. Something similar may be available on Symbian platform, try searching.
I was at Slot, VI yesterday and saw the E90 for 170k. That's too steep even for early adopters.
@All: Celtel has stopped further activation of gprs service for prepaid customers. May launch BlackBerry Solutions soon. |

@all i've bought the N95 and today marks my first full day with the device it's quite cool except for the fragile slider. it feels like something that can break off, i'll ave to put up a big sign for my children "DON'T TOUCH DAD'S PHONE" . overall it a better device than N93. |
