anyone, can u pls help me out w/ my prob (pretty pls?)

i bought a 2nd hand k700i unit last week...i checked its FW version and it has the oldest one. but i got it anyway.

decided to upgrade it two or three days after yata kasi parati siyang naghahang and auto on and off problema niya. anyway, dinala ko siya sa glorietta nung thursday para i-upgrade...now they have no software for my O2 fon (european version they say) but they say they can upgrade it online para makuha ung software ng O2 but i'll be taking risks kasi baka mag corrupt daw while in the process of upgrading..anyway i took the risk and thank god naupgrade naman ng walang problema. mine is an R2L already (its their latest in G3 SE shop)

anyway, i retrieved and followed on steele's thread on gprs/mms settings for the K700i...kaso after inputting them all and tried connecting ...ayaw naman

kanina tumawaga ako sa Sun Customer Care Service nila...they gave me instruction how to activate my mms and gprs...first type ko daw ACTIVATE then send to 2300 then go to the MALL...to mall asst...then my acct..then prepaid...handset setting and choose the SE K700i (for my unit)then i will be receiving the settings then....

and i did...

now, received some settings though but there's this message na natatanggap kowhich says " O2 code: cannot access this time. try again later"
why is this kaya? is it becausemy fon is an O2 and cannot be compatible to our (Phils) network's frequency? i have received texts and calls internationally with this SUN sim that im using though...

what can be the problem?

i have a bookmark of the esato forum pero ayaw niyang pumasok...bakit kaya? magkano dapat ang load na available para maka access?

and if ever di ako pwede sa wap/gprs...pwede parin kaya akong mag send ng MMS?

pls spare me a little of ur time pls? anyone?
i have no time to go over all the threads of discussions at esato...i have a dial-up connection lang and i cant use it frequently...

pls help me out naman o..... pls?

There are things you have to check first.first, if you have your gprs activated.having the settings installed in your phone doesn't mean that it's already activated.you should be able to send an mms to yourself first before you can receive any.lastly, you need the minternet settings for you to browse using your sun sim.by the way, an indicator that your gprs is activated is when mu have a blue triangle icon on top of your signal. @steele
thanks for the reply.
anyway, i had my gprs activated over Sun's customer service already...since i can't get it activated through text.
yet, they say gprs/wap is temporarily unavailable/unstable (upgrading their system, i suppose) and that only MMS is available.
i'll have to try sending an MMS to my number tomorrow then.
i hope it'll work....

meanwhile, what is a "minternet setting"?
how am i to do/get this?
i 've saved settings of MMS and WAP/GPRS already and tried checking the profiles.... yet i have not seen any "minternet" data input on each profile.

waiting...

sus..

mms uses gprs.. so if the gprs is not stable/not available, you cant rec/send mms..

steele.. maybe you want to tell your friend to give proper seminar to their staffs.

re upgrading at SESS... how much does it cost? and you mentioned that they have to get O2 in the net and flash it with O2 again? now, when you turn on your phone, do you see the O2 logo? [addsig]

What They (customer service) just told you is a lame excuse.if you insisted, you'll get the help you need. 619 is right.you need gprs to send mms.you use minternet as your internet profile so you can browse through your phone.if you have followed the configuration i've posted you should be able to browse by now.unless, your o2 firmware restricts you.try sending mms first.if you're succesful on that, you should be able to browse.

I will.Actually i just had a bad experience with them. Was suppose to get a 100 sureload for last jan.nothing came.i filed a complaint last feb 2.they insisted that it was already ok.so after 3weeks,i already threatened them that i'll file a complaint addressed to their president copy furnished ntc plus i'll post it esato for the whole internet world to see.with the help of my friend technical was able to credit back my 100.she said it was one of the gokongweis who handled my account.takutan lang yan.

i deleted in my fon the internet settings u gave ..isn't the settings sent to me by SUN enough yet? there's the MMS and the WAP/GPRS only left now in my data accounts.

when i go to the bookmarks..what must i use to browse the internet or join the bookmark esato forum? the WAP/GPRS or the SUN INTERNET setting? what should be the setting?
i really dont get it...
earlier when i used the one that u gave for "internet settings" ..at BOOKMARKS MENU..in its options, i did not see the SUN CELLULAR selection...but when i had and used the settings of WAP/GPRS...there's that option already.
so which should i use? what are its significance to each other?....

if u will have time, can u pls send me again step by step procedure on how to set my GPRS/WAP/INTERNET/MMS settings...

pardon the ignorance again, but im really mixed up...

@619
i paid 500pesos for the upgrade. yet i still see the O2 logo on the menu..beside it is the O2 bookmarks menu. does this mean im doomed to unavailability of access to the internet in my K700i fon?

what must i do now?

monica..

normally, if you have O2, t-mobile phone.. when OFFICIAL SE service center upgrade it, they will upgrade it with the same 02, tmob software... because it is impossible for their upgrading software to upgrade it into "generic" SE fw.

and normally, when the phones are branded to o2, tmobile, you cannot access internet with it.. because they make sure that you dont use that phone to browse outside of their service.

im using www.davinciteam.com software to "debrand" SE phones... cost a little than SESS charge but you have the lastest fw and unbranded at that. [addsig]
