I ordered my first non-Sony handset in about 15 years based on no bezel-less handsets coming this year.
You lost me on the double-negative.
Are you saying you purchased a bezel screen phone?

Double negatives are always so confusing ... for us english speaking peoples, probably less for those who's first language is not english. funny how that is
what phone did you get any particulars that swayed you to the other grass being greener?
I bought a non-Sony because I've lost hope on Sony releasing a slim bezel phone this year.
Don't worry I didn't buy a Samsung.
The phone I bought is the Oneplus 5, not for the screen body ratio (it's poor for a top end released in 2017) but because overall it is a solid phone and the company has product philosophies similar to what Sony used to have. A bezel-less phone from Sony this year would have weighed harder on my love for Sony.
If Sony go large at IFE my Oneplus 5 will be on eBay in a blink.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

He's most probably practicing his english writing but I feel you my friend. This site is not a forum for that matter, even it might be true to some extent that he has some interest on sony phones.

Will we see this in next Sony flagship?
Will we see the fingerprint scanning power button be replaced by 3D biometric scanning, allowing smaller bezel design with a brand new power button?

I am a bit skeptical.
Unless the 3D thing prevents from cheating.
S8 face recognition can be cheated by a photo.
Same for iris scanner. |

Does anyone know if XZ1 has the true wireless charging Sony registered patent this year?
Using nfc to charge the phone, even " steal" from other electronics..
Thanks for teaching..
I thought the EDIT was used by people just to correct themselves,
And REPLY for new stuff.

I think Sony wont come with wireless charging, unless they solved the issues with high temperature and low efficiency while wireless charging |

@LumberjackX: No offense, I don't want to act like a sheriff, but I noticed the back to back postings. Since you're new here, you might haven't realized the location of the edit button so far. Just FYI, it's the second button under the posting date.
...and another instruction on this page .

I think efficiency will increase with time, waiting for it to be perfect will take forever as no tech. is ever perfect.
high temperature is something some how a must at least for this time, why because the phone will receive a raw power and it needs to modulate it to be safe for charging.
