In other words, there's none of lights support in C901. Just one way to use that light are in video mode. Case closed? LOL

Does anyone know what's happened to the c901 release in the UK?

They said September then October and there's still no mention of it on any of the networks web sites.

They've also removed it from the 'Coming Soon' page on the UK se-store site!!

Update on my autofocus problem. I called SE repair who told me to send it in. When they got the phone, they told me since it was a "grey" market phone (not officially sold in the USA), I would have to pay a flat fee of $185 just to look at it They should have told me than before I sent the phone in! The fee is a joke since I can buy a brand new phone for not much more. Just a warning for all USA customers that SE will not help you out if there is a problem with your phone.

Its common if you buy unauthorize product...the company will charge you

well not sure on USA. if its Malaysia

you get grey market phone....they can even refuse to fix for you
if you buy a refurbish car let say toyota which import from japan...toyota will not entertain your car unless you pay extra...and some model...they will reject as there's no way to get spare part here.

most consumer electronic product will normally reject grey market product unless you have international warranty but they might put a small text in the warranty note to claim the service centre of respective country have the rights to charge extra etc etc...in the end you can't avoid if you buy grey market/ parallel import product.

yeah. i too am facing this kind of problem. I think it has much to do with our hands when we're taking pictures. My hands are pretty shaky when pressing the shutter button (It's very hard to keep it steady). Also the fact that it's shutter time is quite a bit long affects our pictures. Some user who posted several outstanding pictures here also said if i'm not mistaken, that your hand must be perfectly still to be able to produce nice and clear picture.

I did find that the infinite mode helps with outdoors and landscape shots but it doesn't help with the closer-in shots. The macro mode helps slightly with closer shots but still not great. My hands are very steady so I don't know if it's a hand-shaking problem. I've NEVER had a problem with any other camera in my life (including the k750 and n82). Other people who take pics with my phone also produce blurry pics. Maybe I'll try playing with the ISO when SE ships my phone back.

Perhaps the phone was dropped so the lens moved inside the phone?

Just in case put the phone on any firm surface then take a few photos.

Hello everyone .

I'm a new owner of a Sony Ericsson C901 and i love the phone.

But i have a question about the phone.

I use my C901 as an mp3 player to, but i have found the sound volume to be pretty low at max volume.

I know iPod Touch have this EU volume limit thingie. But you can change that if you want by editing a file in notepad so you have max volume. And my volume on the iPod Touch is alot higher after i removed the volume limit on the iPod than it is on my C901 now.

So my question is, is there any files i can modify on the C901 to take away that volume limitation if there is a limit on the volume on the phone?.

If there is a way to edit that, then please give me instructions on how to change it, or just give me a file that i can just put into the phone. And let me know where on the phone to.

Yes i have A2 Uploader, so i can go into the system files and that on my phone.

May I warmly recommend these drivers? You'll notice significant improvement on audio quality and also loudness is very much improved.

Instruction for 'installing' the drivers are quite straight forward if you already know how to use A2Uploader.

Utter rubbish. The internals of both the C901's are exactly the same. Its just the paint that has been used and the packaging. Nothing else.

Thanks, my volume and sound quality got much better now.

Atm i use those to play music on my C901: Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 Headphones.

When i don't use that one, then i use a converter that goes from the Sony Ericsson port to a 3.5mm plug. And then i use those to play the music: Bose In-Ear Headphones.

So thank you very much .

I've experienced this problem too, but rather in darker environments. Over 3-4 m the infinite mode helps me too. I don't think that it could be a mechanical problem because the focusing is more precise in good lighting conditions, at small distances with macro mode, and is better with sports settings in darker environments. But indoors with average lighting conditions I have to try focusing several times to be precise. I've noticed so, that when images come out blurry, the phone focuses to a closer distance than the subject, and that causes the problem. I think, and I hope it's just a software problem, just like that I can't correct the exposure to be lighter in dark environment without flash.
However, I know, that the R1EA033 (which I used previously) and the R1GA028 (which I'm using now) has the same camera driver, but when I've got the phone with R1EA033 I didn't have any problems with focusing...
Somebody experienced similar problems?
