Well I'm not 100% about Vodafone but I am about 3 on my v3xx it shows H with 3 sim.
I don't have it any more so i cant check my Vodafone sim. |

well 3 might only have hsdpa coverage there, that does not mean voda will too...

Looking at the Vodafone coverage map for my area I should be getting HSDPA.

On my W880i there was 2 skins on the walkman player cant find any on my W890i? |

Anyone know when this will be released in the UK on PAYG, trying to resist buying it sim-free although I'd ideally prefer it in mocha, an O2 exclusive in the UK I believe. |

Get it sim free from plemix, a lot cheaper than what you would see sim free elsewhere.

I was reading that early k850i firmwares didn't show H even if it was a HSDPA are. It could be the case with my W890i.
My software version is:
R1EA033 prg12027323_CHINA_AK R1EA033
Customisation:
1201_0176 R11A120-9451 R1EA033 APAC-ANZ
Also under configuration what does it say? On mine there is a line which says:
UMTS_AMR
UMTS_AMR2
GSM900 GSM850
GSM1800 GSM1900
no mention of HSDPA but then again it might not mean anything if its the same on yours.

No i cant add anything to shortcut menu. below shows what my phone shows when i press it. any ideas what i can do?

the silver is the actual metal that the phone is made from, im thinking its aluminium, as it is so light. so i would definitely go for the silver, as black is boring (so many samsungs come in this colour!) and the mocha brown isn't quite coffee chic enough. thats just my opinion.
one more thing, my w890i doesn't come with google maps  anyone know how i can get it?

Oh, dude, your operator must have branded your phone. That's not how the activity menu is supposed to look like/work. I suggest you debrand it (via DaVinci, for instance). For info. on how to do it, just search around the forum. |

What letter do you get when you connect with 3G. All I get is G and E,its bloody slow too:-(.I have an unbranded mocha W890i. |

when looking closely at your phone I get the feeling that it isn't a orgininal SonyEricsson at all. With mine there isn't a recessed border around the keypad as is on yours.
At least it definitely has a different housing. Either it is branded or it isn't a SE at all. Where did you get it from?
But if it is an SE: try to use the left / right button, because in the shortcut-menu there should be some tabs at the top to select from...
