Nice pic, O Kryptik One. Your Nokia certainly picked up the colour spectrum of both indoors and out well; none of the 'white balance' fussiness that one occasionally faces.
Hopefully when the groom and groom's entourage awake, they don't find and transform Mr.Walker into the 'hair of the dog' ...
@ da brixsta,
Hope you and your ex are making some headway and sorting things out; I obviously don't know who you dined with last night- it's none of my business and I sincerely don't mean to pry, but I'm sure I could say that on behalf of all of us that we hope that you're managing to steer Da Brixsta ship through the turbulent issues in your path...there must be ways to navigate through them if both parties want it to happen!
Carpe diem, mfowethu!

Yes, I know the expression well, and I'm sure your efforts will not go unnoticed, even if it is a long, protracted road that still lies ahead.

Converting more tv shows so i can watch it on my phone later. Helps a lot, there are a few good tv series out there that i would not get the chance otherwise to watch.

A few pics taken in the local Carphone Warehouse and one of the Virgin megastores, with the long-suffering P900:
White K610i...overpriced here IMO, even with the included airtime offer:

That W710 looks really nice, not that I would buy it but if money was not an issue I would probably pick up one just for the heck of it.
I like the sporty features which comes with the phone.

I really like the look of the W710i as well, but if I was to criticise it, it would be its lack of autofocus (again..) and its considerable girth.
I was speaking to a salesperson in Phones4U earlier today. They have the grey and white W710i's. He said they've had them for nearly 2 weeks and he has apparently not been able to shift a single unit in his store to date, despite its many sport-orientated features.
Then again, Phones4U's contract incentives are seldom better than anywhere else, and it was still only offered on contract compared to CPW's far greater flexibility and options.
I've just returned from the Tesco superstore across the road. I didn't realise that the W300i comes with 2 dinky SE Walkman speakers thrown in with the pack as well:
Unfortunately you can't really see the SE name on the speakers in this pic; it is recessed in white below each speaker.

That W300i deal from Tesco's is quite good value, the only con against the phone is it's VGA camera.
Locally I've seen Game are throwing in a W300i with each new W810i taken out on a standard business contract at R185/month.
PS: South Africa's qualifying campaign for the 2008 African Nations Cup got off to a great start when they beat Zambia on a cabbage patch that should've been reserved for grazing...btw: 0-1

I ended up upgrading to the w810 which i am NOT happy about! I like my phone powerful and big. But those idiots at CellC had only two weak SEs in stock. I was just about to get the N80 when the assistant found the w810 somewhere in the back of the shop.
It irritated me so much, because i had no choice; my other phone just DIED this morning. I should have gone for the N80, what was i thinking! Ive just heard some dodgy stories about them. Now im having problems receiving my GPRS settings? Help? |

@psychonymphe: You don't seem too happy about your choice(?) of phone. You could possibly sell the W810i and buy your beloved W900i (Incredible Connection still seems to be stocking them) and pay the cash difference which should not be much.
At my new job everyone seems to have the W810 or K750...Ok, it's at least five people in an office of 20...with the rest owning Samsungs, Nokia's, the odd Motorola and some other unmentionables.

@ psycho, i feel for you...but on the bright side, i have seriously heard more complaints about n80 being crap, keypad being uncomfortable to use and so on. Now on the other hand i have not heard of one person complaining about the w810i, in fact, people cannot stop singing the praises of the w810i. So yeah, but i am not too sure. Also, to get your settings, get to sony ericssons web site and get them to send it to you. I had to do that.
Okay, this is for all vodacom subscribers. Did you have cut-out this evening? We went to Menlyn shopping centre, and all the while being there i had signal but no connection to the network. I maintain it might have been something in the centre, but my friends say it was before going in there even. The funny thing, the connection on my one friends phone never got interrupted, yet most of the vodacom people had this problem.

I also forgot to add that the N80 with all it's nice features is quite prone to bugs...if you want a phone that reboots several times a day than you can't do worse than the N80.
Anyone caught this from MTN? Quite exciting.

Off topic...
@ Francois,
On Tuesday, Trivium will be launching their second album called 'The Crusade'. Now the reason I mention this is that if you listened to it, you'd think it was previously unreleased songs from Metallica's 'Master Of Puppets' / '...And Justice For All' albums...even the vocals are very pseudo-Hetfield! However, they don't sound too much like a poor man's Metallica at all...
The latest edition of Total Guitar magazine has even described it as 'the best Metallica album in years!' LOL!! I think that through this jest, it sums up the calibre of the new offerings by this young band.
If you wanna listen, check out Entrance of the Conflagration here :

Not my fave brand of metal, almost late 80's power/thrash metal, but I thought you might want to check the similarity/ies out, right down to the very Kirk Hammett-type bridge in the song/s too. A clear departure from Trivium's first album then.

@psycho
I'll take the w810. lol. I like my phones small and powerful. FYI the N80 is horrible. It's got so many bugs and is so slow. Played with it for a whole weekend and have noting good to say about it. |

O2 in the UK have just added a tall,camera-less,business-orientated cellphone in their range, called the O2 Jet. (O2 branded, thus eminating from one of those not-too-well-known Far East factories.)
With phone manufacturers competing who's got the thinnest handset, or highest mp cam, etc., this phone is focussing its claim to fame on its maximum battery life; all of 540 hours...that's over 22 days of stand-by!
http://shop.o2.co.uk/shop/o2u[....]p?prodID=consumer:O2:Jet:GROUP
I think I'd stick to a more desirable phone and keep a spare charger at both the work place and at home.
Still, 540 hours on a single charge is quite an accomplishment, if this materialises as a genuine stand-by time.
