No update yet for my Singapore X10 sadly. Still, I'm confident it won't be very far away.

Yes it has gone up since I posted that yesterday. And I now have it and it's lovely.

I had a "spare" credit at davinci so mine's currently a "Global / Demo" v2.1
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

I've been tempted to use my lingering davinci credit too but the word 'demo' in their FW scares me, I'm really tempted to switch to Nordic region too but not sure how easy it's going to be to switch back at a later date and the UK region suits me better I feel.

I guess I'll just sit and wait for the UK generic like many here. I would really like an indication of whether to wait in the region of days or weeks though..

Booted up my laptop this morning, PC Companion told me it needed to be updated, I did so, then it told me 2.1 was available.

Bit weird since I had checked via my phone to see if an update was available and it wasn't.

Anyway, I am now updating.

Am running Global Generic version.

@Ricky_D: thanks for the info.
I dunno where my phone came from, though I'm sure not in USA since I bought mine way before it came out here. I just don't wanna miss out, if everyone here were to get updates BUT me, I wonder if it's something wrong with my phone. I just hope it isn't the case. Also rather than wait for it, I'll just let it wait for me. I won't try to "search for update" until the end of the week.
btw, I bought a Kingston Technology 32GB speed class Rating 4. I place it into my phone and first thing is formatting it, however it can't finish formatting, saying "Damaged SD card", I tried reformatting many times but still the same. Though I can still use it, I hope there is no trouble in the future. I connect the usb to computer and tried formatting using computer, hope that works. no problem yet.
If anyone knows anything, have any advice, do tell.

Right now, Ireland. But I don't think the location matters, it's the phone version you have, right?

@aka Dus Yeah it's the phone version that matters, but i wasn't aware there was a 'Global generic'.. What does your service menu say your version is?

@Big_D I've not seen those card issues before, the phone should format it the way it needs it. If you can put it directly into your PC try and compare the file system to the card that came with your phone. That may be an issue, otherwise format it with windows and copy over the file structure from the old card, then try it in your phone, that's what I'd try next. Go to the service menu (from the arc slider screen press menu back back menu back menu menu back) to find out which region phone you have.
