@brunoxt
It's true in the beginning the battery was awful not even lasting a day but now my battery lasts two days with an hour per day of gaming, an hour per day of internet browsing, a dozen texts per day, a 20 minute phone call per day, push gmail on with about 20-30 emails on work days and if I don't use the GPS. If I take it away with me on a trip I only get a day out of it, but I use it twice as much and take 50-100 photos and videos.
One of the other guys with the update will have to tell you how much better it is with that.

How did you get to improve the battery? Are you talking about after a firmware upgrade in the past? |

No update yet for my Singapore X10 sadly. Still, I'm confident it won't be very far away.

After a days usage i can honestly say, wow what an improvement!
Sadly i haven't noticed any difference in call volume. The battery life is much better, after a whole day of usage, playing games, surfing the web, listening to music, timescape updates, 3g always on and wifi, you know, been using it a lot, I still had 30% left!
And the UI looks great, can be a bit sluggish at times, but bearable!
And the HD video capture looks good too

^^ I agree, the battery life seems improved as the whole experience. The HD recording could've been better but it's ok. I can actually hear the AF working when i'm playing clips on the computer and the framerate drops when shooting indoors. Thats my biggest complaints. Anyway, its better than before. |

@brunoxt 'conditioning' the battery (fully charging and discharging the battery as many as 6 times) helped a lot and a small firmware upgrade helped too. I'm hoping the 2.1 update helps even more
@glorfingal 5 is unlocked I believe

IMO, in-call volume level is increased. Not much but it is sufficient now.
Secret menu combination doesn't work with the new FW.
After 1,5 days of usage, I love it.
Email program is same. IT is lame IMO. It always was
They should have improved that.
It is still difficult to manage mails.
I still move my finger to unlock screen like when I unlock with arc slider.
Vertical movement doesn't effect unlock buttons behaviour.
What I love:
* Last Call Widget (Awsome)
* New apps with 2.1
* Live wallpapers
* Faster UI
* Faster Phone Book
* Phone Book integration with other programs
* Easy to call-back buttons
* Much Faster Timescape (Now it is usable )
* Call screen is great as well
* Faster response while entering PIN unlock
* Incredibly fast response with unlock screen (Perfect IMO)
* Significantly improved battery perfomance
What I hate:
* Difficult to setup newly added parametres
* Still don't understand how I can manage online Facebook contacts. I have been using SyncPix to sync my facebook contacts, now I have no idea which ones are synced via Phone itself

It´s changed, now it is "Home" (the middle button) and "Back" buttons.
Home -> Back -> Back -> Home -> Back -> Home -> Home -> Back.

Can someone post HD video from X10 taken outdoors? Just curious if it's watchable. |
