I`re got XPERIA X1 - when I`m working in opera and I`m opening web pages, it often stops working. How can I correct it?
Try different browsers. I don't think there is a mobile browser that can load every page properly. As popular as Opera is, I have more success with PIE and Opera Mini.

 | How do I install programmes to my Xperia X1 when using Windows 7. I had Windows XP before and used a small nifty programme which allowed me to just right click on the cab files.
I recall that isn't possible with Windows 7 and I don't remember the name of the small programme anymore.

Syncing is built into Vista and Windows 7. It's called Windows Mobile Device Center.

.cab files must be copied to the X1 and executed from there.
.exe files must be executed on your PC, then they will be installed on the X1 during (or when you...) sync.

 | hi there! could someone please help me with one problem?

I downloaded a SMS sound on my PC, and transferred it to X1 in "ringtone folder" but I couldn't find any option to set that sound as my "incoming text message" sound. That sound also wasn't in "Sounds and notification > notifications" folder.

 What should I do?
I dunno know if anyone posted that before, but this thread is too big to search that post.

 Thanks in advance!

I have been using Android on my X1 for a while now, mostly 2.0.1 and 2.1 Eclair.

Its awesome, a nice change from WinMo. At XDA Developers they are working tiresly to develop a fully functioning android OS for X1, always improving, at a very stead rate over last month or two but a few small issues remain.

You use a linux boot loader to load an image of the Andriod OS, you can install apps, do what ever you want.

Current issues are inaccurate power management with battery getting hot, no GPS, most versions iv used bar one can not send text message, can receive however, no camera.

It is worth checking out if your game, though there is no harm done to the X1, it does not modify WinMo.

Once its a perfectly functioning OS i may consider using it full time.
