BTW - I managed to get a 1020 in my hand today ! w00t !
First impressions - its quite larger than I expected, which is probably down to the shape with its square corners. I did like the smooth plastic, it felt really solid. I also liked the screen and the camera island wasn't as ugly as I expected.
If I had the money, id buy one.

i quite like the fact that Nokia is offering various colors- my Lumia is yellow and i quite enjoy it- it is different and (i think) it goes well with black
I agree about the size btw |

I don't think its that big, it just seems big because of the shape.
Its the same reason I didn't like the Xperia Z earlier this year. The corners dig into the hand a little too much. Being plastic though it feels better than the Z did.
All in all I really liked it, sadly I didn't get chance to play with the camera.

There are no complaints about the screen on wpcentral... there is quite a few 1020s on there..
As far as the size, its slightly bigger than the 808 in terms of volume
96.6cc vs. 95.5cc

So its perfectly "pocketable" .. what worries me is one handed use.. its not as good because the phone is much wider and taller.

I suspect you were banned as Guaraholos, or whatever you were called for a similar reason.
Not only Guarulhos, he is also emerson_shei, because half an hour ago, this account posted exact the same post as the one Sonysta posted, saw his mistake, edited and posted it again, this time as Sonysta.

If the 1520 camera performance is anything to go by in terms of noise reduction... the 1020 might be in for a really nice bump in image quality
This is taken with WP8 "black" which is what the 1520 ships with Not bad at all.. |

does anybody here know when flipboard and instagram will become available for Lumia 1020?

People, who were at Nokias Keynote, this morning in Abu Dhabi, have posted on Twitter, that Instagram would be available "soon", so probably within a few weeks, and Flipboard after a few months.

Well, it's only what people posted on twitter, maybe it'll be available sooner

WP is officially the 3rd player in the OS games... Nokia really did the heavy lifting here, without them.. WP will be exactly where Windows Mobile ended up.
So you will get all the apps eventually, its only a matter of time.
Now, I am not sure how Microsoft plans on keeping the momentum going without the Nokia logo on their phones.. aftear all, a lot of people buy lumia because it says Nokia on the front.
Anyway, the 1520 is indeed running lumia black firmware which is good news for the 1020

i agree about the Microsoft keeping momentum without Nokia logo- would anyone that bought Lumia have considered it without the Nokia logo?
i am happy that they supported wp8 though- it is nice to have an alternative to ios android duopoly... |
