How do you manage to do that and still hold the phone?

or do you simply type with the phone resting on the desk?

I dont have big thumbs but from my own use I would imagine its just a question of getting used to it as you aim for the edges?

I use it on a surface as you say or type one-handed if I'm holding it. I can still type fast enough with one finger.

I know, it's not cool is it :-/
If it means I can take advantage of the Qwerty keypad and get some decent speed out of it with no errors, I figure it's worth looking like your dad!

Dont worry mate, as its on a Smartphone with a Qwerty and your 6'4 with massive thumbs its cool!

My Dad on the other hand is using a normal Motorola handset with no frills and he still does the one finger stabbing at the numbers!

Surely the iPhone must be 'stabbed' with the forefinger (ouch) too? I can't see that being a thumb device...

Hope not... There could be a finger stabbing epidemic!

Anybody knows how to switch between the two preferred languages while typing an e-mail or SMS with the qwerty keyboard? I can change it with the virtual keyboard but not with the hardware one.

@lakofka - Thansk for trying that, please post when you have tried it

Thanks

@Zaxan,
I've just tried it and it works for Radio 4 and Radio 1 at least.
If I've done it right, the link needed to get it working is below. Just paste it into a .ram file and send it to the phone, the media player will pick it up.
Radio 4 Live
Radio 1 is:
Radio 1 Live

Does anybody know if it's possible to shut of the alert that keeps showing up every time I am sending an sms that is longer than 160 letters?

I always get "the message will be sent as 2/3 sms'" (something like that), is it possible to shut this reminder of? It often make the message I send just going into outbox cause I forget about that all the time.

If anybody know, please let me know. And if you also could send the message to my by PM that would be great Not much on the net the following days.

please respond if you know it. Thanks

To those in the know.

Is it worth it? I have my P990I still, I use it for satnav when I need to now and again so although I love the N95 I see it's feature set as pointless plus I love the touchscreen with the Satnav.

But it the P1i much better then the P990I?
Is it really that much smaller?
Is it finally stable?
Can you really see the screen in daylight (One of the worst bugs)?
Is it faster?
Is it easier to use and more phone like?
Is the keyboard easy to use?
Does the battery last longer because I leave my Bluetooth switched on?

Please answer my questions if you can as I am very interested in this device if it is that much better.
